What if Norvell to Texas A&M, Deion to FSU?? Crazy? Maybe?? Snipe Hunt?

If ATM hires Norvell and Neon goes home to FSU, then this entire clown world just exploded! ESPN and all the MSM will eat it up like a dog to its vomit and this insanity is all we would see or hear for years! It would be like the Colorado fiasco on steroids.
However, it Might be interesting to watch as FSU self destructs under Prime and Colorado is still left out in the cold in the black dark, holding the sack waiting for the Snipes that Deion promised them.

I highly doubt that A&M would hire another coach from Florida St seeing as how the first one worked out for them.
I also doubt that Florida St would let Norvell go after the season he's had.
I also doubt that Deion would implode because I think he's a good coach who does things with his own style but loves the Lord and tries his best to serve his players.

Does Norvell really have a deep enough resume for TxAM?

I wouldn't expect TxAM would necessarily put Norvell in the top tier category in which they'd be interested. He's not had FSU back for that long, and if TxAM feels like they can't afford to fail again, Norvell might not be the homerun they're looking for.

There is no such thing as a homerun hire. Jimbo was thought to be a homerun hire until he wasn't. How many coaches have Tennessee, Florida, Texas, Miami or FSU cycled through trying to find the right guy? Every coach they hired had a great resume, but the fact is most coaches don't work out for a variety of reasons.

Well, I agree with that, but

there is perception vs. reality. In reality, you're right. But I'm not at all convinced that these AD's who continue to do this have adjusted their perception to match reality. They still seem to operate with the conventional wisdom perception. Given that, I expect there will still be certain perception-related benchmarks that are overvalued.
Terry Don Phillips did something a bit unconventional and went with what he saw in terms of the potential of the person in front of him instead of the potential hiring splash. That may not always be easy to spot, but as long as these AD's are farming the process out and making CYA hires (and inflating the contracts too early), then I have a hard time thinking they'll quit now.
That said, maybe if someone at TxAM wakes up to this b/c of how Jimbo turned out, maybe they'll operate differently. But I'll believe it when I see it.

Here are a few of the details.

Deion and FSU do have a rocky relationship.
Deion was the legal guardian of a RB when Jimbo was the coach. Highly recruited. FSU was recruiting him. Deion said he would not be going to FSU. He went to WVU.
Deion wanted the job when Jimbo left. Noles hired Taggart. Deion wanted the job when Taggart left. Noles hired Norvell.
Norvell had recruited Travis Hunter, #1 overall prospect in the nation.
Deion kept saying (he was at Jackson State) that he was going to shock the world on national signing day. He did. The shock was signing Travis Hunter.
I'm not saying all of the above means Deion will never coach at FSU. Just giving the background of the relationship.

Did they not say they were going to announce their new coach in two weeks? If so this would eliminate anyone more than likely in the playoff

That'd be wild, for sure, but TAMU wouldn't give Norvell the time FSU gave him

to build the program up. Realistic or not, they want to win now. Mike Elko, maybe? He's a fast operator so far.
