We must devote ALL of our energy to that, because any energy spent thinking about the other game could be very detrimental! We must FOCUS! Clemson's success tonight has nothing to do with coaching or player execution, and everything to do with how hard we fans concentrate!

The Gamecocks will be relieved.
Last year they knew with iron clad certainty Alabama would steamroll Clemson. This year, if Clemson and Alabama both win, they will have a week of pure dread at the thought that Clemson might beat Bama and there will be nothing--nothing--that they can say.
BUT, if Washington upsets Bama, they have a built in excuse if Clemson wins the title. They can say we couldn't have beaten Saban, got lucky to play Washington, the title is illegitimate because we didn't have to beat an SEC team, bla bla bla.
They'd never admit it, but in their hearts they are pulling for the Huskies.
