Vizzina has been pathetic when he’s played.
I don’t see our offense scoring many points with him at qb , I hope I’m wrong but I dint see it. Smu will probably score at least 21or more , again if hope I’m

I don’t think Dabo said that Vizzina has done a good job. He said that he’s done everything that he needs to do, and that he’s done fine.
Remember, this is similar to what Dabo used to say about DJ. When people were clamoring for Cade, he always said that DJ was fine and had done nothing to lose the job.
This should be a flag that CV ain’t it.

Sadly, I don’t think “V” is “the answer”. He’s had several opportunities to make us say, “Wow!”, but so far, it hasn’t happened. Based on what I’ve seen, it still won’t happen. If “V” were the answer, we would have seen more evidence thus far. I’m not holdin my breath that CV will surface as a savior of our once storied program.

hes going to be the starter next season. may as well play him from that point on seeings the season was dead after that game anyways. it was deep playoff run or bust this year. and the trash coaching made sure the season was dead very early

Chris Denson is likely the best of the back ups. Looked as good as anyone in the Spring. Apparently retained an agent last week and his entry into the portal has just not been announced. Seniority system at work again. We recruit a top 30 QB and then bury him. Most fans don't even know he exists. If it's CV I would plan on a loss, perhaps a blowout. Hope I'm wrong but he's just been awful thus far this year. Looked better last year but we got who we got.

How can you judge a Quarterback and say he looks awful when he has barely played at all. I really can’t believe some of the comments on this board. Everyone wants Cade to play but all this talk about how we can’t win without him is just STUPID IMO. I for one will pull hard for our Quarterback no matter which one is in there. All true Clemson Fans will do the same I am sure.

I think he does too. Got to have someone ready in case he can't stay in, or it's affecting his throwing. He won't need to run imo. SMU 's D is really bad, at least the p4 games I've watched. We shouldn't have problems with running.
Bet we use more 2 back sets and motion. Quick passes that Cade can make without having to dropback and plant.

Not sure I would use the word "fine" to define what CV has done but let's be positive that a week of practice as QB1 is much different that coming in cold off the bench.....the defense needs to be ready to step up big time and play like they were supposed to play going into the year!!!!

If Vizzina has trouble they might try to use Pearman. Based on the little I have seen with his very limited playing time is that he might not be as physically gifted, but he makes pretty good decisions. You can leave the pocket if you can't run...Ha! We could possibly see a rise from obscurity. It won't be the first time a walk-on turned out to be a great player if just given the chance.
Think about Tom Brady. He was the 3rd string qb when he stepped in to take over for Bledsoe. No one thought he was good enough to start.

Sometimes it helps spending some time practicing with the starters. I think V will be better if he has to start. If CK plays I worry about his running ability. But, do you remember the game a few years ago with us beating Carolina with a one legged QB named Watson?
