Went to UNC this past weekend. Some thoughts...

I was hesitant to go as the last 4 games I've been to were losses: - LSU - Louisville ('24) - Duke ('23) - FSU ('23)
However, it was good to see us win, in person.....finally.
A few thoughts.
- There was a different energy on the sidelines... then realized about halfway through the first Qtr, Tom Allen was on the sideline. I tell you this, I watched him quite a bit. I hope he stays on the field. Even the coaches could get an earful.
- You could sense the coaches were coaching for their jobs.
- Again, another school with better concessions. I mean...it's not even Close either. You could buy local BBQ sandwiches, Bojangles, Chik Fil A & Dominos. They also had plenty of Dippin Dots and Frozen lemonade along with all the normal food (Hot dogs, chips, queso nachos, popcorn, candy).
- Stadium is really not bad. Small, but nice. It was little toasty though in the sun Saturday.
- Their fans were very friendly. Probably b/c they knew how terrible they are. I actually had several show concern and ask me if Dabo's job was safe...that they would hate to see him leave. I was actually surprised at this as I was asked this 3x in 2 days in the area.
- The Crunkleton bar in downtown Chapel Hill is a great bourbon bar. One of the best assortments I've seen in North Carolina.

My son's a senior at The Citadel and we go to games every now and then. Even their small stadium has better concessions than Clemson. It's not close...

I mean even Kidd Brewer has it. Outside of the overpriced mountain dew. Weve got food trucks along the hill and hungry Howie's (Not the best pizza but its better than some).

totally agree with concessions.
Armark is the worst and the fact they still use peppinos as a "brand" disgusts me. (BRING BACK PEPPINOS!)

It’s funny how people spend hours before the game stuffing their face with food and drinks, but then need to go into the stadium and chow down some more?

Unless you're stuck inside during a weather delay for 90+ minutes.........then it becomes a real issue.

One season I went to Chapel Hill. I believe Billy Lot was our QB ?? We won. But the craziest thing happened to me and my buddy who went up with me. We needed tickets. I bought mine on one end of the stadium and my friend bought his on the opposite side of the stadium. We could not believe it when we checked our tickets. We were sitting beside each other.
What are the odds ???
The stadium is small but located in a really nice area. NC is always a good trip for away games.

When you lose, everything stinks: Band, Concessions, PA Announcer, Stadium ...

Entrance, Gameday Management, Cheerleaders, Student Section, Restrooms, Parking, Traffic, etc.
I agree that our"Gameday Experience" needs upgrading. If you want to play "Big Boy Football", improve the product on the field and everything that makes it a great fan experience. We haven't changed much about our atmosphere in nearly 20 years.
If I hear of one more gameday special recognition(... outside of "Hero of the Game"), I may lose it. EVERY IPTAY Representative and Professor/Student in Clemson history has been recognized during TV timeouts recently.
... STOP WITH THE NONSENSE. --->>> Act like a "Big Boy Football" program !!!

You don't go to Bojangles or Chick-fil-A to watch football and you don't go to a football game to eat Bojangles or Chick-fil-A except at your tailgate. Chapel Hill is a great college town and their stadium is a beautiful setting or at least it was the last time we were there.

who don't agree with you.
If you drive in without eating, or having very little to eat and go to the game 30-45 minutes early and the game is 3-3.5 hours long, it would be nice to have food options (that you actually like) in the roughly 4-4.5 hour period you're there.
Also, 1000s of people go to sports bars every day to watch games and eat food.

Crunkleton was a blast after the game. There was some serious coin being dropped and the UNC fans there were great fun.
