Very glad usc jr will be preseason top 10....

They face aTm, UGA, Auburn (who will embarrass and drop them 10 spots in the polls, UT jr, UF and Mizzou.... all before coming to death valley. Meaning they'll likely come into DV with 3-4 losses, and leave with 4-5.
This is the 1st year of the playoffs folks, and we need them to be hanging on the ropes for dear life (instead of being completely knocked out by the time we face them).
If they start out at 10 & drop to 35-40, the win will be far more respectable than if they start out 30 & end up 55-60. We all know they're not a top ten team and haven't played anyone from the west for the past 3 years, but shhhh.... don't tell the pollsters that.
SOS will be huge in the selection committee's decision making process this year and we need our opponents to look half way respectable, something begginning to worry concerning our coot game come year's end.

But I don't give a #### how "respectable" USuC will be in football. I hope they lose every single game in embarrassing fashion and are the laughing stock of college football. But hey, that's my two cents coming from someone who has lived in SC most of my life.

whether or not they are a top 10 team clemson has been one of their easiest games in the last 5 years. they have had much harder struggles against vanderbilt, tennessee, kentucky wofford etc

The last two recruiting classes for carolina have been very good if not better than clemsons as far as needs met and carolina dominated clemson again this year in in-state recruits which may explain the streak.

That's bc we treat you like you treat them. Looking ahead to more important games and skimping on preparation (ACC championships), lack of respect, trap game, etc....

When you've been whipped 5 years by double digits, it's probably not smart to "skimp on preparation". But blame your inadequacies on whatever helps you sleep at night. Carolina will just keep on dominating Clem every year

While we are treated as you national championship game

Every year, and if we're not playing for the ACC the following week, it's difficult to get up for a lousy-non-respected nationally-program.
It's a lose lose for us. If we win, big deal we're supposed dominate year in year out, nobody cares. If you win, there are stickers and t-shirts and tattoos and living rooms dedicated to it, and we have to hear ungodly amounts of years worth of built up little man syndrome every day in some fashion or another.

The biggest gamer usc jr has ever had at qb and the best DE to come out of high school in twenty years.
This one will actually matter (if we beat who we're supposed to) for the first time in as many years. OB was already a lock for us last year.
