The US is much better now, as compared to when The-Rump left office. The only 5 significant things that happened during T
Rumps 4 years as President.
1. In 2017 the Repubs passed a tax law that dramatically reduced taxes for the ultra-rich. (Yep there was a small taxcut for the middle-class, but it stops in 2025, for the middle-class -- but the taxcut for the ultra-rich does not stop. [This dramatically raised the national debt that the Repubs worry about. You can never have enough jet airliners, at $150M each, (or vacation mansions) if you're ultra-rich.] The ultra-rich didn't need the 2017 taxcut and drove the prices of stock and housing through the roof.) It was estimated by the CBO that his tax bill would save the T-Rump family over 10 billion dollars in taxes by 2027. (Not that he would have paid any taxes. The IRS has recently found that T-Rump owes them over $100 million in taxes -- caught cheating, again. Soon he will be asking the MAGA cultists to chip in to play his tax bill.
2. The Trumps got much richer from foreign govts investing in the businesses owned by the T-Rumps. These foreign govts also gave extremely lavis gifts to the T-Rump hoping to get money back from the US govt. (There is a US law against a US president accepting investments and gifts from foreign govts. But T-Rump was committing so many crimes, there wasn't time to take him to court on these crimes.)
3. The stock market fell like a rock because T-Rump kept calling the Covid pandemic a hoax. (The T-Rump said people with Covid should inject bleach. The AMA said over 18,000 people died from injecting bleach. Not to mention the thousands that died from taking the horse tranquilizer injections that he promoted.)
4. He and crooked Mitch McConnell got thousands of Repub judges installed, plus some on the SCOTUS (one was unfairly appointed). These judges overturned the Roe vs Wade ruling and that has led to women dying from failing pregnancies. [The so-called Pro-Life minority has bitten off more than it can chew, and women voters, in 2024, will show the Repubs that the govt will not have the final call on their pregnancies -- those decisions should be between the woman and her doctor. Aren't Repubs supposed to be against govt-interference in people's lives? (The Pro-Lifers should be called Pro-Birthers -- because they always vote against tax credits for poor mothers.) Overturning Roe vs Wade is on T-Rump and it will cost him the election.
5. The Rump fired up an insurrection against the mandates of the US Constitution for the peaceful transition of power. That was after T-Rump spread the BIG LIE and Guiliani ran into 60 courtrooms around the US with lies -- and lost 60 court cases. The Jan 6 insurrection resulted in the deaths of 5 police officers and one rebel. Plus 146 law officers were treated at hospitals for their injuries. And over $10 Million dollars of damage was done to the US Capitol.
Not a very good 4 years. Pure chaos. Why would any voter want to relive that -- or the more-crooked plans of the insane T-Rump going forward.
I had MAGA-cultist neighbor tell me recently that Biden wants to merge the US with China. He has NO CLUE. Biden has promised to protect Taiwan. Biden has setup an alliance wit Australia to prepare for war and to fight against China..
The LYING Republicans refuse to pass a bill to limit illegal immigration because The-Rump told the Repubs NOT TO LIMIT illegal immigration. This was a bill put forward by the lying Repubs.

Sounds like Lester hates half of America if he hates Trump supporters.
I think what folks are failing to realize is voting for Trump is voting against the status quo and what has become a corrupt uniparty in Washington. The Democratic Party is veering way left of where America is at. The Republican Party needs to ditch the anti-abortion platform and be more pro-choice if they want to win national elections. It is not a winning issue and I for one don’t want to die on that sword while the left destroys and divides our country.
This coming from someone who has allot of left leaning friends one of which is my wife. Much of America is closer in what we think than what the media and Washington would lead you to believe.

Trump supporters didn’t “attack” the Capitol, Einstein. A black racist cop murdered Ashley Babbitt, an UNARMED female Air Force veteran, who we now have learned from video footage was 15 feet from the door; not trying to break in. Several cops let the protesters in and they behaved as if it were a guided tour. One cop even put his arm around one of the entrants and escorted him upstairs.

No they didn’t. They responded to the deliberately heavy handed cops. The violent ones were the ANTIFA plants who shouted and encouraged breaking in. The Trump supporters realized the ANTIFA types were the instigators and backed off. NONE of the MAGA people were armed or were interested in breaking into the Capitol. The ones inside in the videos were LET IN by the cops. They were, unlike the Left Wing ANTIFA pigs, peaceful.
Two friends of mine who own a prominent restaurant in Lexington were curious and walked near the protest on the fringe area. They decided not to go closer when they witnessed a fat black female cop savagely beat an observer who had merely asked what was going on. My friends were absolutely appalled at what they saw. The crowd control cops grossly overreacted with heavy force. By that time, most MAGA people quickly left.
My friends were actually there; not YOU.

You can have different political positions without tearing this country down. Those that tear it down do not deserve respect in any shape form or fashion. Both my brother and I served in the Marines, both served in Viet Nam, and have totally different political views, but neither of us would ever try and tear this country apart. We get along great ...... always have. I do have an in-law who said that family members who voted for Trump are not welcome in their house. Is that what you are talking about?

I have witnessed this in my own family, my mother, aunt, and sister have not spoken to each since trump won back in 2016..
And what Unit did Toby Keith Serve in? I find his use of real Americans and being a True patriot cute when he was nothing more than a phony who pandered to our troops and cultural division to sell records. HE was not a patriot. I feel sorry for his daughter.

Well I guess that begs the question “who are you to question his patriotism” and which units did you serve in ……. If you are saying that is the measuring stick. I didn’t.
