If you watch the sidelines in other games involving OSU, OU, Miami etc. you see a much different level of intensity from the coaches. These are coaches that keep the hammer down. They are NOT going to send a 6’ 8” basketball player on an end around, or give the ball to a back up wide receiver (or should be) three times in a row, much less throw fade routes to him just to give these guys an opportunity to score. That is Church league coaching moves. Not keeping the hammer down when you need every advantage possible, while having a terrible year, makes no sense. It is these type moves that make a team soft (and I think affects recruiting in a negative way). It is also a reason why you will not see Clemson play four quarters of football this year. It is still hard to watch.

It also affects team moral when other backups see those kinds of calls. Why would any coach do that??

A win is never, NEVER worse than a loss. I'll admit that I don't feel there aren't still concerning issues. There was a lot of positives to build off of though. A loss and seasons over, a complete disaster. A little perspective bubba.

I want Coach Swinney and his staff to win out so somebody needing a HC and support staff to come in and resurrect their program will come calling. I am not saying it can't be accomplished but that ship has sailed for this season looking at remaining games to be played. Clemson sitting at 2-3 overall and 1-2 in ACC with the exception of poor BC team and FCS Furman the other games are tossups.

Christian Wilkins score, or Skalski kick extra points when we were boat racing everybody and 16-0. It would have been “church league” coaching that would have derailed 2 natty runs

I was raised in Clemson and am a graduate. Been attending games since 1965. I am a Clemson fan. Has nothing to do with being all in or discussing issues within the program. Dabo did not invent Clemson. He did some fantastic recruiting and was a major force behind 2 Natty's. Incredibly, others played a role as well. I pull for the school and don't grovel at the feet of whoever happens to be making the largest check. The school will still have a team once he departs and I will pull for them to do well. Being a Clemson fan doesn't mean we have to like watching his brats run around the field and get paid. In the real world, it's not tolerated. If they are winning people look the other way. When you are the laughingstock of college football it brings some scrutiny.

Yes, we beat UNC. SO WHAT. Long way from being the #3 team in the country. The teams that pounded lumps on us already include bottom feeders like Syracuse. Pushing Cole T on the field at every opportunity is sickening. Meanwhile, actual players that we have not developed like Tristen Smith sit and obviously wonder. Other than USC, the season is done. The Tire or Weedeater Bowl bowl is nothing to celebrate. Any team with a winning record goes to a bowl. Cade had a nice game. Great. Hope he has turned the corner. Bentancur should have played from from game one. Now a baketball player gets in the rotation to take snaps. Can't wait to see Clay Swinney on the field at WR. That's coming. It's a popularity contest. Empty seats will do the talking next year as will donation problems. Can't get here fast enough for me.

I've been attending since 1965. I can support who I wish. Incredibly, I don't gauge any coach by purely wins and losses. I look at what the staff and program are spending and what product comees out of it. Our return on investment is likey the worst in the country at this stage. That will become self evident as those donations dry up over the next 2-3 years. Please continue to donate to offset this collapse.

We needed to see what the backups could do and give them some live reps; that was the most important goal for the 2nd half of that game. IDK why they called the plays you listed but maybe they wanted to let Chef see what it was like to get tackled in a college game kinda like calling a QB power early to get a QB going.

Yes actually got out scored by lowly UNC for 3 quarters ! It is a slap in the face to players that deserve playing time to watch Dabo force feed touches to Turner and other players . Also the defense couldn’t get off the field in the 3rd quarter against a woeful UNC offense . They held the ball for 1/2 the 3rd quarter before we even had a possession . Against better teams the total inability to run the ball will still result in big trouble .

Some knowledgable football fans with common sense get it. It is not about loyalty to the program, it is about maintaining Dabos own intensity, standards, and accountability. It took almost half a season to admit there were problems within the coaching staff. It may just be that the level of athletes we were getting pre NIL could overcome their own coaches, Brent Venables excluded of course.
