Matt Doherty, so he could be considered an expert on that topic.

That’s a fair point.

Guthridge coached 3 seasons, won an ACC title, coach of the year, and 2 Final Four appearances. I’m pretty sure we’d take that level of success at Clemson.

We need somebody that knows what a good one looks like

Northwestern’s HC currently has the longest NCAA Tournament drought of all active Power-5 basketball coaches.

Get comfortable folks.

the importance of Football, understands Big $ athletic dept, facilities, as well as starting new things. As long as he doesn't show up at Littlejohn for the UNC game with a Tarheel shirt on, I'm good.

Brad Brownell: Only Larry freaking Shyatt has a WORSE overall winning percentage among Clemson basketball coaches since 1975. Let that sink in. It's Larry Shyatt & then Brad Brownell.

Wow! He had a full plate at Northwestern but great for the resume. He probably glad he can concentrate mainly on football. Welcome to Clemson University, the university in SC that means something.

Was he responsible for the Northwestern student attempt to unionize the athletes? Just wondering about his role.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Looks like a good higher but I am a little concerned about his

Apr 1, 2022, 12:08 AM

DEI background. I hope part of this hire is not quietly based on moving more towards DEI and Wokeness at Clemson!

Yes I know the typical D bags on the left will attack me and call me a racist but DEI is BS and not about diversity and inclusion it’s about far left propaganda it’s about power and control it’s about a whole Lotta BS.

I always say don’t believe me, do your homework. Go to YouTube and watch a wonderful podcast with Glenn Loury a black economist, one of the top economists in America, and professor at Brown University, and his frequent conversation partner, John McWhorter, who is a black linguist and professor at Columbia as well as writer for the New York Times, They are two of the top thought leaders in America today regardless of race. Their podcast is fantastic and they cover cultural issues economic issues academic issues etc. on a regular basis and both recognize what’s coming from the left especially the far left is absolute nonsense and harms Black people and keeps them on the democrat plantation. They talk about this nonsense often! They talk about how Wokeness and CRT and white fragility and all of this stuff is complete nonsense and destroying America. And again these are two black thought leaders and professors!

Jordan Peterson recently had on his podcast a black woman that has an amazingly successful company where she has to go in and fix problems created in schools and organizations and corporations that were created by DEI. The trend now is for corporations to bring in these DEI experts to do trainings and teambuilding when there is no history of racism or internal issues but they feel like they have to do it because of political correctness and social media and cancel culture so they do it to look like they’re on the so-called right side of history and that they are woke and that they are compassionate. Yet what happens more times than not is not long after those DEI trainings, companies that did not have any issues now suddenly have serious issues because this ######## actually creates problems where there were no problems. This lady recognized what a big problem it was and she is in huge demand to come in and clean up the messes created by these DEI gurus.

So I am totally on board with this hire as long as it’s not part of some DEI/woke/political correct agenda within the athletic department. Black athletes at the high school and college level in America are some of the most privileged people in our society. To act like they are oppressed is utterly ridiculous! And they are not being taken advantage of because the reality is very few of them would go to college if not for athletic scholarships And very few of them will ever play professional sports. To say these are not student athletes, to not take college seriously, is truly sad because this is the real opportunity for them to bring themselves and their family out of generational poverty. The same for poor white kids. FYI there are more white families below the poverty line than the total number of blacks in America. So none of this is based on race. It’s purely social economic. And the problems in the black community have very very little to do with racism today. They are overwhelmingly cultural as well as being pawns of the Democrats. Useful idiots! Because they’re not going to be millionaires because of professional sports or entertainment. Contrary to what the Supreme Court said there is no free market for these kids. There’s college, selling drugs, or a minimum wage job. Those are the options for the vast majority of blacks and poor white athletes graduating from high school today. .

I challenge anyone that would criticize my above comments to watch this video. John Loury is a well respected black economist. One of the top economists in America. He is an economics Professor at Brown University. This brief 10 minute conversation is an excerpt from his podcast recently with Sam Harris. Sam is an atheist and pretty far left intellectual thought leader with a huge following and has written numerous popular books and has an extremely popular podcast and was one of the original members of the intellectual dark web.

If you are at all interested in what is happening in America today, or history, race relations, political correctness, and really everything that’s going on culturally and politically you need to listen to the biweekly conversations between Glenn Loury and John McWhorter.

That's a lot of words for "I'm a racist."

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

lol

Apr 1, 2022, 9:49 PM

Of course the predictable attack from the far left minions that have nothing which is why all they do is attack and try to discredit someone rather than doing what any intelligent person would do if the facts were on their side, which is prove that person wrong. But you can’t do that!

Please enlighten us and tell us how I am a racist.

Racist. Is that a new word for speaking truth to power? Is that a new adjective for telling the truth? Is that a new catchphrase for those that shove reality into the face of those that are brainwashed from propaganda?

Wait a minute, no way the DEPUTY AD oversees football!

Apr 1, 2022, 9:32 AM

We already know that DRAD himself oversaw football here, and was the true architect of all Dabo's success. It was one of the main reasons Miami lured him away! This story is a travesty, I tell you, a TRAVESTY!

This sets us up for a potentially really inclusive

Apr 1, 2022, 11:47 AM

A.D. hire after Neff leaves with Brad and heads to Miami!

Was nervous about ties to perennial football doormats like Northwestern, UNC, and SMU. However the guy was instrumental in leading the Big Ten equality and inclusion and L and G and B and T and Q . This will be huge in helping lead the football program to eventual national prominence in the inclusivity field!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Careful. Telling the truth around here will get you called a racist!
