I reorganize some of my gear AND REAPOOL SOME OF MY RODS...it sucks when you are in the lake and Dime 4 instead if a DT 6 and KNOW you have it but cannot find it...or a June bug fluke and all you can locate arw silver rainbows and chartreuse...etc.etc. you golfers have it made with ONLY 14 CLUBS AND A BALL!! I mean, how hard can that sport be? Tee it up and hit it towards a stick THAT DOES NOT MOVE!
I mean..I have to consider pre spawn,spawn,post spawn,winter,spring,summer,fall, full moon, early morning, rainfall, water dropping or rising, blue back herring lake, or river , grass or no grass,
AND THAT IS JUST CONDITIONS...Then...we go to main lake or creeks and ditches, secondary points, humps, ledges, long sharp points or rounded deeper points,on wood or not...
And then we get to lure selection, line diameter and type..Fluor, Mono or braid...
Crank bait,jerk baits,chatter baits,jigs,worms,and more colors and types than you can possibly imagine
Am I lyin' fellas...I know we have some guys on here who are serious tournament fishermen. They have as much gear in their boat as I have in this pic of my floor...
And just as soon as you figurehead out today....they MOVE tomorrow...

And don’t forget weather high pressure, water temperature, fishing pressure by tournaments and locals, disrespectful fishermen, and the list goes on 🤓!

Novice question: can you use a fishing net on a boat in SC? A rod and reel takes some time. I guess its trolling?

I am with you there Spud. I have one reel left to spool. A new one I just picked up a Shimano Ocea Jigger 2001 XRG. Had to wait till my line came in. Everyone was out of stock on 40lb white braid. Can't wait to see how this thing performs.

Well organized my friend! Golf ain't that simple, and I am not relying on some fish under the sea or lake to make my day. If I make a triple bogey it is usually on me. If I birdie I celebrate! We have the same conditions to consider plus our aging joints, jabber in the background from overindulged "friends", sand traps lurking to swallow our balls, fishing ponds to traverse over, and the golf gods to deal with.
