Wheel...ex Board of Trustee member at USC....arried to Mrs. Spud's beautiful sister...Anyway, my brother in law is very well connected and a very good friend of Jim Clements..I assume you all know him. So, my brother in law plays competitive doubles tennis and one if his teammates,Dwight Sawyer is a big Clemson fan, who like my coot running buddy, is known for wearing the same old worn out Clemson shirts ALL THE TIME. My brother in law, who is just "The Guy"...you know..the one that gets the best tickets, pays the bill for dinner,gets the best table at the best restauarnt..etc.etc. It is just how he rolls..it's all DNA. So...he calls President Clements and presents this tragic story of how they are playing in the state mixed doubles tournament and that Mr. Sawyer is just not outfitted properly! Well...Jim stepped up and sent these shirts FROM THE TENNIS TEAM to Mr. Sawyer....

mixed doules team had won their matches, bur Mr. Sawyer and his partner lost their first set...WHILE WEARING HIS OLD ...OLLLLD SHIRT. ...But..Buttttt..he runs in the locker room and comes back out sporting President Clement's gift......AND THEY WON THE MATCH...State Champs!They will now be representing our fair state in Memphis!Go Tigers! ...and Coots!...sorry Robert..that is as close as I could come to giving a Gamecock praise!
