Well , we lost.
We didn't play well , and we didn't live up to the pre season hype.
In our 1st game.
Lost by a touchdown to what will likely be a team that contends for an SEC West title. Had the opportunity to tie it late , didn't get it done.
Aside from the typical Coots and dumpers , there is a festering core of actual Clemson fans who ...following a tough loss like this just completely fall apart and emotionally collapse.
I know we can do better . I hope we do. That's all anybody can do , as fans. Trust and hope.
The point of fanship is to enjoy the experience and remember that we're watching kids play a game.
So tiring to listen to some of this crying and complaining from adults who should know better.
Enjoy. Breathe. Unclinch.

Paid athletes. These aren’t kids on student loans working for their next meal. Cade is making millions to suck. Which is fine because so is the oc. But they both suck and deserve to be called out. They are working a job.

To me this isn’t just a loss but a disturbing pattern. Clemson was supposed to be to the point of not having the offensive problems experienced Saturday. Hopefully the coaches can clean this up and the offense can find a rhythm.

Many of those kids are making more money before they turn 21 than you and most fans will make in a lifetime. Coaches are making more in a year than the average fan. His children and grands will make in a lifetime.

So, they should be able to take the valid criticism. Your idea of "kids" playing big time college football for funzies is over.

These are young men, yes. But these young people wanted to get paid and they are. A lot of them big time bucks. In addition to a full ride. I'd hardly characterize them as kids.

Paid professionals now. When you get paid all of our Iptay money the expectations are different. And when they don’t live up to those big salaries …..

These guys are making more money than 95% of America. Plus they get free clothes, housing and meals. They are not kids just playing a game. They are professional athletes. Honestly, they have been since the late 70s, when television contracts in advertising became major media marketing.
