ACC moving to no divisions, and best 2 in ACC Championship

If Duke would have won against FSU last year, no ACC teams would have been in the 4-team playoff, guaranteed. If Clemson and FSU played, and Clemson won, the ACC would have at least had a chance to enter the playoff.
It will probably begin in the 2015 season.

You mean no divisions.
And yes it's very likely. The ACC has been burned with a poor matchup too many times due to divisional imbalance in the Championship Game.

I get the big divisions mixed up but I think they have been lucky the last few years were the 2 best teams were in separate divisions.

I know we made the request of the NCAA who had to give us permission. Maybe the vote/ruling today will allow to ACC to act without permission from the NCAA

The new automony of the Big 5 means that the Big 5 could agree to make the change, not that a big 5 conference act alone.

I truly dislike unbalanced schedules

And this will just make them more glaring.
At least with the way it is now, you would have the chance on the field to beat the team from your division that goes to the conference championship game. With 15 teams the unbalanced schedule means you might not have played either of the "top" teams in the conference and had your chance to knock them off.

Clemson/GT being played on a annual basis. Only if we can get teams like BC, Pitt and Syracuse(teams we have nothing in common with) off the schedule more often.
