Bama can get away with it, we can’t— we sell something completely different than Bama and every other school out there in recruiting, it’s what has built us to the success of the last 10 years. Reverting to the mean of what everyone else does, we tried that for about 30 years, doesn’t work so well at Clemson.

You can still be Clemson and add a smidge of what Oklahoma does on offense. Others have come to Clemson and seen what we were doing for the past 7 years. Is Clemson on a high horse that it can't do the same? Alabama probably gets their ideas from both NFL and other college football teams.

As far our players go .... I believe that is on how the coaches are coaching and developing them.
A few of them may need to go if you're not getting the best out of them...but a few of the coaches may no longer be elite as well....so they need to be possibly shown the door as well.

A few conferences already have rules in place about pulling scholarships. Not sure about the ACC, but I was on the Iowa board and the Big Ten guarantees a kid their 4-year scholarship if he wants to stay even if he never sees the field. It sounds like the SEC doesn't guarantee anything - not sure though

The SEC guarantees that if you get a degree, it will be worthless. Vandy got an exemption.

This has to be sarcasm or a joke right? We have to hold the adults (coaches) responsible for recruiting and signing and developing players. If the player can’t cut it then we missed as coaches and it’s our fault as much as it is the player. Clemson holds itself to a higher standard than a lot of programs by not cutting players that aren’t good enough.
