year. Could it be that Brownell knew that KJ may bolt for the NBA? What do you guys think? Watching the game last KJ was head and shoulders better than everyone else on the court.

No even at this point in the season KJ is not a sure thing NBA prospect. He is a great player and will most likely make it but no one could have projected him to the NBA that early.

No. He figured someone would leave, but not KJ.

Someone who is on the other end of the skills spectrum. Unfortunately, there are a number of options there.
If KJ leaves after this year, Coach Brownell would be extremely disappointed. We don't have a second scorer, so we would likely take another step back. History shows we won't see a big contribution from the freshmen, so I don't see how we fill that void in what will be an important year for Coach Brownell.

KJ is a human highlight and a nightmare matchup for most

shooting guards. He's bigger, stronger, and a better leaper.
Even with his areas for improvement, that can be a big draw for a team looking to put fannies in the seats.

Hate say it, but he's ready. If he comes back, his present will build the entire team confidents and will make the players around him better.

If KJ comes back and improves his jump shot he would be a lottery pick in 2015

Lebron had the same problem during clutch time with his jumper entering the league. Time has healed that problem.

Which does not change the fact

That this draft class is loaded. The lottery is pretty much set all ready, and when you fall outside of the first 15-16 picks, you have about a 50/50 chance of making a roster. If you fall into the second round (which many American players do, because non lottery teams like to draft foreign players and stash them overseas in the first round. The chances of making a squad probably drop to 25%, and the contract will not be guaranteed.

you could also argue that Lebron is the most athletic person in the world and he is a true 3. KJ on the other hand would be really undersized at the 3 position, therefore teams will probably look at him as a 2 guard and he will have to develop his jump shot sooner rather than later

Plenty of opions, but I think Ajukwa is best bet to leave. He is a 2 or combo, and we are heavy at those positions. Smith and Djambo are also options. Would not rule out Filer.

prob'ly the right decision for the program..the flip side is that it's a real kick in the teeth to send a kid (ajukwa) packing that you only signed last year.
as for kj, I don't think his ball skills are good enough yet for him to get drafted this year..i love kj and look forward to watching him in the nba..but he'd be a turnover machine right now..he needs his senior year.
