Hats off to 'em.
Yes, we were manhandled at times, but I also thought we played very "tight". Even so, the outcome was still up in the air until late in the game. They made the critical plays, we didn't. But the plays were there to be made late in the game.
With a weak ACC and strong Scar, the old yard sticks are hard to apply, but in IMO we are better that we have been in years. Not there, but better.
I still like this team and the coaching staff.
Maybe Bball will take some of the sting off in on 12/02.
Anyway ... better days, and GO TIGERS!

after the game was Dabo's record in meaningful games. Outside VT last year its not too good.
I really do like Dabo. I do think he has a plan and has had success. I also think that the next 2 games he plays will go a long way in showing that there is light at the end of this tunnel. For his sake I hope he lights it up.

I remember the '60s and '70s when we were out-played by UNC and NC State teams - not to mention Georgia or Ga Tech.
Last night was disappointing, but it is a wake-up call for how much farther we need to go. However, we have a better team and a better program than we did 20 years ago, ten years ago, and five years ago.
I'm not giving up on Clemson or Dabo.

Yep.in over 100 years of Clemson football, there was one 10-12 year stretch when we actually played the way so many Tiger fans today like to think we ALWAYS played.
In fact, playing the way most people have grown to expect happened only ONE year ...
Through most of that glorious stretch we managed to lose a couple of gsmes we should have won almost every year.
I HATE losing to SCAR ... absolutely hate it! But, these SCAR teams are much better than any previous SCAR teams in history.
For most ot the Golden Era, the SCAR teams we beat were mediocre to terrible. When they were decent in 1984 and 1987 ... we lost.
None of this makes losing to SCAR any more palatable, but makes it easier to understand.

I have been a Tiger Fan since the 60's. Here is a run down on the Rivalry;
1960-1969 - 5-4 vs SC
1970-1979 - 6-4
1980-1989 - 7-2-1 ( won 4 in a row )
1990-1999 - 7-3 ( won 4 in a row )
2000-2009 - 7-3 ( won 4 in arow )
2010-2012 - 0-3 ( lost 3 in a row )Now 4 in a row
We need to start to get this changed NEXT Yr. !

I agree. I was proud of their effect, especially on defense.
The truth is one position if not one player is the difference between the Gamecocks and Tigers. Their DL was better and more experienced, and Clowney makes a huge impact. They had two seniors plus Clowney on the DL. Clemosn had one senior and the rest inexperienced sophomores.

Very disappointing that our defense is so BAD !Spurrier just flat outcoached Dabo. I've been a Tiger for 51 years & hope we can get back on the right track as far as beating the Coots is concerned. They beat uds with a backup QB no less. 10-2 ain't Bad

Remember in August when we all were predicting 8-5 or 9-4 because of an inexperienced OL, no DL depth and lack of a secondary. The truth is that this team has over achieved from preseason evaluation. I'm not happy because I expected to win last night but those weaknesses were exposed.

As much as it kills me to say this, we got totally outcoached! And we had some players that QUIT! Watch the replay of dropped balls, poor tackling, etc.

I agree the problem ACC is very WEAK we have trouble with SEC teams (not Auburn) all great teams have tough defenses need to recruit tough players !!!!!!!! well now I have to hear all this gamecock crap

I can handle the losing, they were the better team. I have much trouble handling the coaching staff conceding. Ten points down with 3 minutes left you never punt.

I didn't think Clemson really had a shot to beat Scar all year. I knew their defense would cause us alot of problems.
I was surprised Vegas had us favored. That's when I had a glimmer of hope. But I knew deep down inside this would not be the year. Very close though.

Yes, our depleted secondary got torched by their backup QB. How many starters were missing in our secondary? Alot....
We also have NO big playmakers on the dline. None. No pass rush + depleted secondary = no pass defense
