we cancelled on an event today

A concert we go to every year but it is in a small sold out cramped venue. They offered a refund a few days ago and we took it. They sent an email to everyone a few days later saying it was cancelled. Sad for the people and performers but it was the right move

either directly or indirectly - and more often than in the past year. I had an appointment this afternoon and when I walked in was told that I would need to reschedule. The person I was supposed to see had rushed out the door a little before I arrived because she got a call saying her sister with Covid was unresponsive. The hospital in my area has gone from ZERO Covid patients in late June to a full ICU now.

My son who is an OR nurse did 62 hours last week. The OR was slow so he helped in tespirtory section
About half that time where two nurses were out with coved and one on maternity leave. He is in one of the UNC hospitals and they are being inundated. This thing is getting serious again.

Hope he stays well. I work in a hospital also, grateful for his work and willingness to float where needed.

Unfortunately , about 40 percent of the people in this country do not believe this.

I have a get together at the lake planned for tomorrow and found out yesterday the
place that I was getting the bar-b-que had someone test positive for Covid
and will be closed for 10 days. Off to the store to load up on hamburgers and hot dogs.
