RPI as the tool the committee uses this year. Of note, Lipscomb is 31 so that's a good win. VT is 10 FSU 27 so those are our best 2 good win chances outside of upsetting UL(15) and UNC(8) which I wouldn't rule out but those odds are stacked a bit higher. As to bad losses......there really aren't any

Nebraska(H) 36
Syracuse(A) 48
Creighton(N lots of preseason injuries) 54

Obviously NCSU win would have been huge- not only from a road, good Net win but also to try to divide the line more in the league standings.

the standings or matched up in a critical 8-9 game in the ACC tourney. Not overly concerned about it-- I think most would see that as a fluke ending on the road. I think finding a way to get 2 of 4 of VT, FSU, UL and UNC is more important and winning 4 of 5 of the others which it wouldn't shock me to take all 5 of those.

Debacle is a poor choice of words to describe what happened up their. It was unfortunate and a lost opportunity but in no way a debacle.
