We absolutely must make it out of our own regional this year

We cant be satisfied with good regular seasons and poor off-seasons for 3 years in a row. Hopefully this year we get back to where we used to be often.

Well a lot of you people wanted to get rid of the guy that won all of those regionals. We have a new guy now. It takes time to put a stamp on your own program. Pretty sure Monte will end up doing just fine.

When you fire a guy who takes you to a ton of Supers,

then the guy you replace him with better take you to the Supers.
Otherwise firing the guy who takes you to a ton of Supers looks awkward.
I think Monte will get us there too, but we need to see that now.

OK St and Vandy last year were both tough draws, not like we were losing to crap teams. Vandy had been beat up all season and got full strength/hot right at the end of the season, and had Kyle Wright. That team was 3 years from a National Champion and 2 years from playing for a second National Championship, then that OK St team was really really good.

You’ve put into words what many of us feel in our hearts. We want success and plenty of it.
HIGH EVVAH...
We probably need to understand that, like football, the program was in need of a new formula, and we are just now seeing the benefits in terms of personnel and mental approach.
If we’re good enough, and we have a little good fortune, we will advance. If not, we will have to build on this season and try again.
For a brief moment last night, it appeared the team was tight (like they always seemed to be in Omaha), but as Coach Lee pointed out, they didn’t panic or get frustrated; rather, they stuck with their game and prevailed.
Interesting fact from the broadcast: Clemson is one of four current regional teams to host regionals three straight years. Not too shabby. Put that in the context of the football team playin in and winning bowl games against the likes of LSU, OSU, OU. We’re on our way up, no matter what happens this year.

There is absolutely no excuse this year.
Vandy is the youngest team in the nation.
They are playing much better as they gained experience this year.
But the bottom line is we should be 1-2 years ahead of Vandy this season.
At home with a talented, experienced roster this regional is ours for the taking.
