Agreed.

There's something about Franklin that rubs me the wrong way.

I suspect he fancies himself a "Big Boy" coach who's on the level with Saban/Dabo.

the junk he pulled at Vandy to protect his sexual predators did it for me. Plus he is awful on game day. ESPN's hype machine pushes him continually to no avail

each play on their last two drives and get decent punts they would have ran out the clock. They were doing a great job snapping the ball with less than five seconds on the play clock but the clock wan't running. I think they ran passes on every play but one. Terrible clock management...

Take it from this PA alum, James Franklin is the most overpaid and underachieving head coach in college football. I never could figure out why they cut short their selection process prior to originally hiring him let alone extending him a top 10 long term contract for underachieving in his time thus far there!!!! And he has a history of constantly turning over his coordinators and other support coaches from year to year which speaks loudly of his inability to develop a sound and cohesive coaching staff in grounding their program!!!!

I didnt watch the game last night, but I figured it would be close. Purdue can be a difficult team to play. They get up for good competition and stink it up against not so good competition. Penn St needs a real qb and they can make some noise. Their qbs are always their problem as they arent that good. Lets see if Allar (5 star true freshman)is the real deal. Franklin is living off of one win vs Ohio State quite a few years ago. He is 68-34 at PSU with three 11 win seasons and four seasons with 7 wins or less.
