Even if he would be interested, I doubt Usuc would hire a coach with a 1-5 record as his only college head coaching experience. I do think they may abandon their previous MO of going after the 60 yr old, on the downhill of their career. They will probably pursue someone like Fuentes, but have to settle for someone like Greg Schiano.

Wad told by a coot today that they have 10 guys interested in the job including Venables. I laughed and then he went on to say that Kirby smart will be there next coach. I told him I'm fine with that because he can't beat a spread team he then says well that's just because he doesn't have the talent to beat a spread team I had to leave on that note my fries were ready by then

They feel like they need to write stuff like this to make it look like people are interested in the job. They say things like "sources familiar with him" or "what we're hearing on our end" and it all means they made up a story from conversations they had with other fans.
