Never any urgency.
QB never tried to extend the play. Or run the ball.
It just seemed flat... Their coach IMO has always been a terrible game clock manager.
You're down 3 scores and you just keep letting the play clock go to zero.

we were outmatched against Ohio State last year. Just like Notre Dame was outmatched against Alabama last year. Just like Ohio State was outmatched against Alabama last year. Just like Oklahoma was outmatched against LSU in 2019/20. Just like we were outmatched against LSU in 2019/20. Just like Oklahoma was outmatched by Alabama in 2018/19. Just like Notre Dame was outmatched by us in 2018/19. Just like Alabama was outmatched by us in 2018/19. Almost exactly like we were outmatched by Alabama in 2017/18. And so on and so on ...
So, if your point is that Cinci getting beat so convincingly is somehow an indication that they didn't belong, or that G5 just doesn't belong, that's total BS. Dominating, one-sided victories have always been common in the CFP.

belong. You see the difference, don't you? If it is, the CFP selection committee has done a terrible job in the past, and they should all be run out if town on a rail, and the whole system trashed, no argument.

I think there could be several reasons but I will give you 7 set in stone reasons they were not jacked up,or looked like they had no urgency.
My 7 reasons;
1) A
2) L
3) A
4) B
5) A
6) M
7) A
Maybe the committee had been right in the past about teams outside the Power 5 conferences.
But then Michigan showed that maybe the only team in the Big 10 that can can play on the Big stage is Ohio State.
