Bennett played because JT Daniels was constantly hurt. Not because Kirby thought Bennett was the better QB.

Daniels was great in practice and had a deep knowledge of the playbook, but when the game came around he didn't put it all together.

Stetson was a gamer. He just made plays exactly when he needed to do so.

Daniels will make a great OC one day, but Stetson was better on the field.

Can't argue with any of this. Daniels bounced around to several teams before the realization that he wasn't going to play sat in. I have to wonder if he hadn't been so injury prone, would Kirby have ever given Stetson a shot.

I think Monken favored Daniels, but Kirby wanted to go with Stet after Daniels and his entourage delayed coming back from injury even after being cleared by medical staff.

Kirby liked Stet's toughness and resilience, but Monken favored JT's command of the playbook. Also, if the rumors are true, Monken and Stet were at odds, due to Stetson continuously going off-script. JT's injury ended up making the decision for them though
