FSU Defense

Sep 17, 2012, 9:59 AM

I'm just curious as how to last years FSU Defense compares to this years FSU defense unit. Everybody says they're so big up front and etc, ..... well, were these guys not on the team last year? Last year we scored 35 points on them, 443 yards on offense and Sammy had 141 receiving yards. Shouldn't we be able to do about the same if not more this year? http://espn.go.com/ncf/boxscore?gameId=312670228

Yeah its pretty much the same, but with another year comes more experience. They are bigger, stronger, faster and more depth this year. The only advantage i see...is they are pretty small in the secondery with the exception of Rhodes. We just have to be on our A game mentally and physically...specially the 0-line.

Wake Forest had openings for their passing game, but

couldn't execute. They looked intimidated from the get go. Hope we aren't.

One of the things I liked from watching the Wake @ FSU game was that the QB from Wake ..... they gave him time to throw, I didn't feel like the FSU d-line got a ton of pressure on him.

Tanner Price was afraid to run the ball.

Lots of opportunities to keep on option plays. He wouldn't. Opportunities to pull it down and run it. He didn't.

Most of those guys are back and theyve added experience

and depth. And its a road game....

Their front line is stout...REALLY stout

Sep 17, 2012, 10:06 AM

...they are capable of bringing a lot of pressure quickly.

That said, their linebackers are good, but not other worldly, and it's hard to tell about their secondary because they haven't played anyone who's challenged them seriously.

But yes, FSU has a VERY good defense.
