Klubnik . . . . it makes a huge difference.
QB K laser focuses on his 1 so much, I swear he's gonna burn a hole in them before he throws.
G O T I G E R S ! ! !

I think Pearman is a better option as QB#2, in spite of his fumble near the goal line. Sanderson made the best catch of the game going up after one of his passes.

Vizzina puts too many balls in jeopardy, and isn’t particularly accurate (the two go hand in hand to some degree).

he played with the starters for a while and looked like the backup he is, getting balls batted down and such. He is not the answer for us next year at QB.

QB is the one position in FB that needs weeks of practice with the starters if he's to be counted on when he is needed the most, BUT, they are the players that will get the least of time working with the first team bc QB #1 has to have all the time with the first bc of the limited practice time allowed by the NCAA rules committee.
IMO the only way to have a backup that can step in and be close to dependable as the #2 QB, is to have a talent QB like DW4 or Trevor Lawerence that's waiting for their time to become the #1 QB. Anybody less talented than a DW4 or a Trevor, we will have exactly what we saw as our backup this past Saturday...

WAT?
Tell that to the #2QB at Ole Miss that came in and played better than ANYBODY Clemson has had in years other than TL and DW.
How much practice with the ones?
Bet he cost them over a couple hundred grand out of the Portal.
Keyboards have really outted some folks all over the internet for years.

On the apparent “bad” throws he made he could have been told to let loose on 50/50 balls.

Well his swing passes were not where the receiver could catch it without breaking stride, his back shoulder throws were not to the back shoulder, and other passes were just not accurate. I mostly attribute it to rust, but it doesn't matter if you can look off defenders, go through your progressions, etc. if you can't deliver the ball accurately. I think he is better than he showed Saturday ....... at least hope so.

It’s going to be disappointing and telling if dabo sticks with the current qb room next year. I don’t think bragging about a 3 star recruit got him much respect. And imho his position on the respect-o-meter has slipped beginning with the incessant dju pumping.

If you put LSU, Troy, GT or Syracuse qb 1 on our one squad we are undefeated!! UNC qb 2 not a chance. I appreciate all that Cade has done but he is currently not playing well. I hope he progresses but I am not holding my breath!! This has been a long experiment!!

Bro. Cade Klubnick played GREAT on Saturday. He had a 96.4 QBR.

If he did that all year he’d literally have the highest QBR and would be the leading QB in the entire country.
Cade played bad for 3 games and a half, until Saturday. If he can maintain the focus he had Saturday, we could literally win out.

He missed some easy throws......pump the brakes a little bit.
If anything, it's becoming obvious we'll need a portal QB next year.

I don't know what you were seeing. Vizzina is lucky that he didn't end up with 3+ interceptions. Almost every ball he threw could have been intercepted by a halfway decent defense.

I didnt see it. I did see why he hasn't played much up until this point. If he is our starter @ LSU, that game might be over at halftime. Very disappointed to see a guy who has been here for the time he has looked not so great against a very poor team.

One can get it to them but can’t find them; the other can find them but can’t get to them.
But we’re close…

Not sure if you were watching the same game as the rest of us but CV should be QB 4 after that performance. I get it, he doesn't get that many meaningful reps but niether did Pearman and he looked 100 times better.

That’s because the OL, against a bad DL, was able to give him the extra time he needs in the pocket to find an open receiver. When we get back to playing against a good DL, where he has less time to process, I expect the happy feet to return and the commensurate drop off in performance.
We will get the real test in the 4 games after BC.
