OMG, what moran would try that. LOL!!
I used to run up it all the time in college. There are 62 turns on almost 7 miles (that gain over 1,500ft in elevation) from 276 to where it meets 276 again. There are sharp (and steep) switchbacks on that road. No way in hades would someone ever get a bus up that thing.
Crazy part is sounds like someone tried to stop them at the Horse Stables to warn them and they just kept on going. Morans!!

They’ll go anywhere to land a woman’s basketball player!
Years ago I managed the field services for Duke Power, my guys coved all this area from Marion, NC to the Nantahala National Forest.
They’re areas in Brevard, Lake Toxaway and Waynesville where you need a 4 wheel drive year around, many of the areas are almost impossible to reach in the winter.
Whoever was driving this bus was very challenged or never planned his route and in the mountains that can be deadly.

It's going to cost a bunch of $$$$ to get it back to a main road. Likely will have to cut a clearing to turn it around. Driver must have dog sh#$ for brains.
