Hmmm not sure how I'd feel about that - what do you think? Curious what others might think too.
Looking at his history looks like he was at Wisconsin for a bit on defense before Luke Fickell moved in.

Would be about as good a get outside of a fantasy scenario where Venables came back. Young, bright, aggressive defensive mind. My boss is a die hard Wisconsin fan and has been talking the guy up for years, calling him the heart of their teams. He left after getting some handshake promises he was the head coach in waiting before Fickell got hired.

Let's say Jim Leonhard is the new DC. Do you think this means Mickey Conn is gone too? I could see this being the defensive coaching staff:
D.Ends - Rumph
D.Tackles - Eason
LBs - (might get flamed for this, but Ben Boulware, who's already on staff)
CBs - Mike Reed (co-DC)
Safeties - Leonhard
What do you think? Especially about the idea of Boulware as LB coach?
