Up-date on this OLD MAN......

Hell-o to all!!!
I had my fifth chemo on Wednesday the 27th. Everything went well and it took only 2.5 hours to do all five(steroid/nausea/Keytruda/Alitma/Caprboplatin) bags.
I felt good pretty much all day Thursday, but maybe a bit tired. Slept good last night.
Blood work shows my hemoglobin has dropped to 8.9--should be 14.0 to 18.0. It has fallen from 15.0 in June to its current level. This is caused by the treatments. Since I felt good, he went ahead and did the chemo. We'll check it again on the 10th of October and if it is still low, we'll do a blood transfusion to get it up and help my energy levels(which are not too bad right now).before my last scheduled one on 10/18/17. Still waiting on the "poison" to make me tired---hope it waits until after the game Saddy nite.

Glad to hear you are tolerating treatment well. One positive side effect of the carboplatin - mosquitos haven't touched me in five years now! (Clearly this stuff either changes your body chemistry or stays in your blood a very long time.) Praying you enjoy many years of mosquito immunity, too!
