all these "experts" are just embarrassed that their prognostications were so wrong. I for one didn't see us playing as bad as we have this year but I didn't think we were poised to be on par with our recent national championship type teams. I watched every game last year and was puzzled why we were going to make such a monumental leap. I welcomed it. But i didn't see how we were hyped up to the degree that we were.

This team made the playoffs last year and put up a good fight against Texas. It's understandable that people thought with all the players coming back that Clemson would be one of the best teams but instead Dabo is having his worst year of his career.

No, it won't!!! You are forgetting that Dabo Swinney is one of the most loved employees connected to Clemson, and he would have more people fighting against him being fired than he would of firing him.
Before Dabo would ever be fired at Clemson, college FB rules would have to level out without changes, and Dabo would have to have no less than 3 terrible seasons before his name would be brought up with the word FIRE attached to it...

Well, I guess you can bet on anything in Vegas, but this would be a sucker bet. Dabo’s not going anywhere and his seat is not hot. He’s the best coach we’ve ever had. However this season turns out, I believe he will adjust and do what it takes to get better. There is no one on this list that is a better coach than Dabo.

I'll add to what you've said, and that is Dabo wants to win it all as much or more than any HC in the country, and that goes for college or the NFL.
I believe that by the end of the season he will have figured out what changes he needs to make whether it's changes that needs to be made with the type of offense that we run, or with any coaches on that side of the ball but I would bet that there will be some significant changes made.
I think that Dabo has proven that whenever he decides on what he believes will be best for his FB program, he will pull that trigger before anybody can guess who he's been talking to behind closed doors, and those calls are most likely being made in the privacy of his home where nothing can be heard or recorded.
I'm hoping that before the end of the season when there is a ton of coaches being fired or making personal moves to help their careers, I hope that Dabo is talking to some of the best ones and telling them how a move to Clemson can and will help their careers, and he has references of coaches that has worked for Dabo, and it has helped their careers...

Complete garbage this is. While I'm certainly not a happy Tiger this year, there are a 1000 positives associated with Dabo- the man, his vision for Clemson, the culture surrounding the program, and our future under his leadership. A couple of down years doesn't change my positive outlook on Tiger football or on the person in charge. I think most people associated with Clemson football also recognize this.

I personally haven't ever heard of a HC that has had great seasons throughout their entire Head Coaching careers. Nick Saban never had a losing season, but he did have a couple of .500 seasons during his career as a HC. In no way shape or form do I see this 2025 season under Dabo falling below a .500 season.
IMO Dabo can still be compared with some of the stats of the king (Nick Saban) of college coaches without his career being over yet, but he still hasn't had a below .500 season and Saban had 2 .500 seasons in 1996 and 1998 at Michigan State, where his teams finished with a .500 record.
I also don't think that if Saban would have taken over Clemson over Bama and stayed, I don't think he would have done any better that Dabo to this point. But that's just me and my opinion...

Ridiculous. I guess Ryan Day was on the hot seat every time they failed to make the playoffs or win the championship. Dabo is the greatest coach in the history of Clemson football. He will get it together. He will have to use the portal and NIl which I believe has forever ruined college football. Coaches have enough to deal with besides the transfer portal and giving millions to players. What we have now is not real college football but a joke. Teams should have to ideal with the players that have and not be able to go out and tamper and take players from other teams. Clemson is going to be forced to cut starters and get players out of the portal. Look at Tennessee they would suck right now but they went out and got a rent a player
