Pretty much how I feel about the game. We can win if the OL, WR, and QB play well. That's just too many 'ifs' to justify picking us to win.

They win if their OL, WR, and QB play well too right? It's who wins the battles, who wants it more, who executes... our talent is on par....
Did Coach Luke make a difference? Did Kade mature under Riley? Are the new receivers and more physically and mentally mature veteran receivers ready to make an impact?
Can our D get stops?
That is why they play the game... ask GT how playing for 60 minutes works out...

I don't think we need Cade to 'put the team on his back,' as that guy says.

That's not to say that he can't or won't but that we just don't need him to be as great as he was in High School. Hand the ball off or check down twice and hit his target or throw the ball away.
If his concept of the speed of the game and matured and every drive ends with a kick we have a chance to win. If he doesn't confound that chance I'll be happy. If he does he's likely going to end up on the bench.

I think we'll see a 'different' OLine than last year... It's the key.***

I don't think he has to be superman but I didn't get that as what he was saying. He's spot on about the last game we've all seen cade play. Getting sacked 8 times against Kentucky is pathetic. As do I agree with May in the former players preview, we can't get pretty.

they execute at the highest level for the entire 60 minutes.
Georgia is good, really good, and our Tigers will need to match the energy early and stick with them or get out ahead and gain some confidence.
Any turnovers by the offense early could be a back-breaker. Focus, execute, and win your 1 on 1 and the team will have a chance.
Go Tigers!!

I'll also add that we don't need to get a slight lead and then try to coast to the finish line. Keep the pedal to the metal. Go Tigers!!!

Truth? LOL. I firmly disagree with his premise that "Klubnik has to put Clemson on his shoulders". Not at all. Clearly, this guy hasn't followed our fall camp. At all.
There are two big improvements from last year: 1) We have receivers. 2) We have an improved O Line. If Klubnik plays smart and ELIMINATES stupid turnovers/plays, I think we absolutely have a chance to win.

well said, I never like to put everything on the QB....but he does need to play well for Tigers to even have a chance but it will take a lot more than just Cade.
Also, OL improvement will be evaluated after Saturday. At this point we do not know how much improvement and I am guessing Georgia will test the line early and see if it is good or not.

The sorry refs. WILL have more to say about how good the OL will play. It's a given they will help the mongrels by NOT calling holding.

Your points are well made, and I do agree. He does need to play smarter than some of he bone head plays he has attempted in the past. He does need time to operate, and that falls directly on the OL and the blockers that remain in close and may act as safety valves. We can, and must, be more poised as an offense, and each player needs to do his job on every play.

Cade doesn’t have to have a Watson type game putting the team on his back.. limit 3&outs and turnovers to keep defense off the field to stay fresh. Our Oline will be the biggest question if they can get push for Mafah to pop 4-5 yards a clip finishing with maybe 100 yards on 20+ carries. Cade will need to carry the ball maybe 15 times getting some timely first downs on scrambles finishing maybe rushing 50 yards. Avoid negative plays like sacks by throwing it away when nothing is there. He will need to spread the ball around and have some threat of a deep shot even if we only hit two or three we need that threat. I believe if we can even the time of possession or win that battle our defense will be able to stuff the run and force Beck to beat us with his arm. I love our young secondary and believe them and our athletic line backers can hold up the back end. Clemson wins 20-17

Good lord this guy is hard to listen to. He just rambles on and on, and is incoherent at times. When I did get to that time point and could actually follow his words, I can't fault him on his assessment of our offense. We've had a rough go on offense for the last 3 years, all with different causes but QB being at the focal point. I am rooting for Cade, our OL and WRs, but until we see it it's hard to have full faith we will instantly be back on offense for this game.

Clemson has to be extremely improved on both sides of the ball to win. Considering how ugly that Gator Bowl game was, it’s no wonder that there are so many skeptics. No, Klubnik doesn’t have to put the team on his shoulders but he’s got to take care of the ball, no happy feet, pocket awareness, and take care of the ball(yeah, I said it twice because it’s that #### important). Our Oline was hot garbage last year, and good Lord willing that’s improved. WRs sure didn’t help Cade last year….being healthy now, hopefully that helps him with execution and confidence. Kicking game….have no idea what to expect. Like everyone else, the secondary concerns me. Hopefully, Beck isn’t given enough time to test them. There are a lot of what ifs and hopefullys involved for Clemson to pull off the upset. Can it be done? Yes, but the Tigers have to play their guts out and no stupid ### mistakes.
