Tyler Venebles interview

I can't believe he still has eligibility left, but glad he is still in the building. 2020 was his first year. He's like the new Hunter Renfrow... they will make memes about it.

D Hood says he doesn't take rev share or NIL (question he asked in the interview). What I found interesting is after football is over, he "hopes" to get his foot in the door and begin a coaching career after taking time off.

I have no doubt, he will find a place to hire him. Kind of joking a bit.... I don't think it will be that hard for him to get an opportunity at Clemson or OU.

I wonder what Jake Venebles is up to.... He ended his career early due to injury.

I forget the year, but it was in the Natty and we had an injury to our MLB (maybe Skalski got ejected) and Jake had to play. Poor guy wasn't probably even able to see due to the pressure and it was a goal line run play and he fit up into the hole perfectly and just got bulldozed by the RB.

Being thrown in that moment, I am not knocking the kid. Any backup probably would have too.

Wait a minute - you mean to tell me that Brent Venables hasn't hired his son

Jake to a "defensive player development/assistant linebackers coach" position at Oklahoma?? Who knew that a child of a Power Conference head coach could actually find employment at a smaller football program to gain experience before moving up to a Power Conference team?? Somebody better tell Dabo that Brent ain't doing the nepotism thing correctly....

I forgot Skalski got ejected in two CFPs..... vs LSU for a hit on Jefferson and vs OSU for a hit vs Justin Fields.

I loved that he wore the old school neck roll.

Bring him back to co-coach the LBs with Boulware

Skalski is much better off learning Defense from BV

Not a criticism of Clemson coaches -- but BV and that heretic Kirby Smart are two of the best Defensive minds in college ball.

And still has yet to actually hit a guy in the head or hit a defenseless player. “Targeted” a guy in the shoulder and another in the ribs while he was the one standing still and about to get bulldozed.

Listening to him speak and watching his mannerisms, he reminded me a lot of his dad. He sounds almost exactly like him, minus a little rasp in his voice. I imagine he does bring a uniqueness to that group with the maturity and pedigree. Even if he's not quite as talented as the starters, he's definitely more mature. Unfortunately that group has been touched way too much this year.

It would be nice if he could play safety.
