That’s your own bias getting in the way of understanding and interpreting what he said. All he did is mention what he thought was a catalyst for people doing what they did, which again, he never held them blameless for in the clip.

Correct. What happened on Jan 6th was inexcusable and I agree with p6fuller that I would have dealt with those that penetrated the Capitol much more harshly. Lethal force should have been used on those in Minneapolis burning down a police station and on those assaulting the Capitol police and marauding through the Capitol.
However, the catalyst that lit this fuse was multifactorial with not just Trump to blame, although he does share significant culpability.
Some of the current policies being aggressively pushed by the left may actually be the catalyst to produce something I don't want and previously thought impossible--the election of Trump.

He said point blank, "you want to know WHAT CAUSED J6th, it was pervasive censorship" .... blah blah blah. That is what I'm calling BS on. Two things caused J6th, 1) a narcissistic mad man convinced a large portion of his followers with a BIG lie that the election was stolen and 2) said mad man INVITED those followers to DC after all of his other attempts to steal the election failed and then he sent said followers down the road to the capital(and btw, these actions are a direct violation of his oath to preserve, protect and defend the constitution, which he could care less about as he later posted that we should terminate the constitution. This is why I can't fathom why ANYONE would still support this POS).
Either one of those 2 things does not happen, then J6 does not happen. Plain and simple and any candidate that can't verbalize that truth is not worth considering, although I will admit that I would easily vote for him over Trump. Btw, I could care less what your perceptions of my biases are and I guess I'm just still pissed and stunned that it appears it will be Biden vs. Trump again. And this after the ###### choices we had in 2016 and 2020. Freaking unbelievable!

Why is EVERY J6er scum deserves to rot in jail or be killed on site…. Except this one guy? Do you think you may have been manipulated just a little? This is the same guy screaming to take over the Capitol on Jan 5th. And whodathunkit- he’s right there in the middle of it all on the 6th. And somehow he’s on a pedestal in your mind as a righteous figure.

I'll start from the end and go backwards. Who said I put him on a pedestal? He is just another idiot that believed Trump & Co. and that has been proved that that can be hazardous to your life/health. Yep, he was screaming to folks to enter the Capitol on Jan 5th and 6th, but he added the word peacefully and never said "fight like hell" 99 times like Trump did. Is that against the law or does it fall under free speech?
I don't think EVERY J6er deserves to rot in jail or be killed on site. Here is my belief on this issue. Folks that stayed outside and protested peacefully should be left alone as this is a constitutional right. Those that entered the capital with the CP letting them in and behaved while they were in there should get a minor slap on the wrist(probation?) and NO jail time. Those that entered the capital by breaking windows and then did not behave inside deserve a major slap on the wrist including some minor jail time. Those that assaulted the CP or conspired in an insurrection(Oath keepers/Proud Boys) deserve the MAJOR sentences they have been getting. Also, in my mind, the Babbit thing maybe could have been handled better but I understand why what happened to her happened.
Here is the thing, there is NO EVIDENCE that Epps broke any laws that day. In fact there is body cam video evidence that backs up his story at the 7:38 minute mark here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QHEEGxQKg20
I had questions on the Epps issue but that 60 minutes piece answered most of them for me. Does he deserve what has happened to him for what he did do thanks to Tucker and Fox? I personally hate the death threat thing that seems so commonplace nowadays and this seems like too high a price for him to pay. But rest assured, they will be well compensated by Tucker and Fox for the lies they told about him! Don't you think you may have been greatly manipulated?

You still believe that the Epps worked for the FBI and it was them, not DADDY, who summoned all that filth to DC to break into the capital and hang the Speaker and the VP?

I'm on the side that believes that anyone that actually broke into the Capitol should be in prison. Not that I want to see people die, but I would have been ok if the police guarding the Capitol would have opened fire on those breaking in (to a greater extent than they did). But regarding Vivek's comments related to the violent riots that occurred 6-7 months before this riot, I think he has a point. People saw those riots, in which some on the left excused and even praised, and thought this must be how people get the needle to move in this country.

Had these people not been convinced that the election was stolen, something people to this day sincerely believe, they never would have broken into the capital. And I am not sure what needle you are referring to, other than opposing the will of the people and attempting to delay or stop the certification of a free and fair election. If you think that needle needs moving, I would love to hear about it.

I am referring to moving any 'needle' that one believes needs to be moved. People saw that violence worked, so they emulated it.

so what was supposed to work on Jan 6, what good could have potentially come from this?
but agree every concession from power in this country stemmed from some populist uprising, whether the civil rights movement or the labor movements in the early 20th century to name a couple. But those were organized initiatives that used nonviolent resistance strategies to sway public opinion, looting, arson, and rioting are spontaneous flash point events that do no good. I do not see where anyone won in those events, nor Jan 6th.

I don't know. Never said these people were logical. It seemed to collectively be a low level of thinking.
Non violent protest is legally the only acceptable form of protest. This should be the standard for everyone in this country no matter the color of your skin or the color of your political party. When violence enters the equation it becomes something beyond protest.

What is your sentiment about people who were let into the Capitol Building on J6 … guards removing security barriers so that protesters could walk right in and continue to yell inside the Capitol building?
Should those J6’ers who were welcomed into the Capitol by guards … guards who opened the gate for them … be put in jail?

No. Protesters enter the Capitol quite often and are not imprisoned. Now, destruction of property is quite different.

Is the window a special part of the situation? If the cops let her in, would that be different?
Also- 200+ pound officer needs to shoot an unarmed woman to keep her from walking through a door that lead to a room with zero congressmen?
How does this align with the Floyd riots?
It’s just so inconsistent you come off as a mindless shill of a mouthpiece.

Yes, there was a mob bashing through that window really close to our politicians. She wasnt let in there. The mob was being stopped at that point. Yeah she deserved to get shot, so did many others. What does the Floyd riot have to do with this?

Did Floyd deserve to have someone’s knee on his neck?
If Ashli deserved to be shot?
Both excessive IMO, but the Ashli case is way more absurd. 200+ lb officer trying to stop a woman vet from walking away from him.
Either politicians are Our special lords and our constitution goes out the window or you’re an inconsistent shill of a mouthpiece for team BLUE.

No Floyd didn't deserve a knee on his neck that long but she deserved to be shot. It wasn't remotely excessive for her. It's tragic for her, but not excessive. That's why officers are charged in one case and not the other.

I would say the barricade and the guns pointing at the barricade is an indication that you will probably get shot if you try to cross. Of course MAGAts are not known for being smart, so I would say that Darwinism played itself out and she removed herself from the board.
