Bob Williams and Frank Dobson

Brad Brownell: more losses than any other coach in school history.

We have a winner. Williams was at SCar first in 1902 and '03

He then saw the light and coached Clemson in 1906, 1909, 1913-15 and five games to close the 1926 season. While in Columbia, his Gamecocks (or Jaguars or whatever they were then) knocked off a John Heisman-led Tiger squad leading to a riot and the cancellation of the series until 1909 (when he coached the Tigers). Makes me wonder if he was rehired for that season to help heal those wounds. He ironically was replaced by Dobson, who served as coach from 1910-12. He then took over for Dobson 4 years later. Frank Dobson later coached the Coots in 1918.

Neither of them would be proud of their choice would be a safe bet.
