I think this kid is a pretty big time recruit.
Would be nice to land him and maybe have the top Oline Class in 2015

Battle, I knew there had to be one since Obama took office and the streak began.

Region, Guillermo, and Destefano. Also Crowder last year. How quickly people forget.

Rivals 4-star OL since 2009 ... Jay, Thomas, Battle, Crowder

Now, if it's narrowed down to OT specifically, only Battle remains with Thomas an OG who can play OT. Who knows where Jay would have played? ... Crowder is pretty obviously an OG.
Note, however, that Battle was not as highly rated out of HS and only gained 4-star status after a year of prep.

To be specific I was looking for tackles...

...and to be more specific I'm looking for blindside tackles, but that's splitting hairs.
Defensive edge rushing is becoming an art form with increasing size and speed, which can be a killer to the HUNH offense.

In that case, then it's got to be Corey Lambert ... oops!

I believe we'd find that Corey Lambert was our last recruit who was a consensus 4-star guy out of high school who was destined for OT and more specifically, left OT.
There's got to be a moral to the story somewhere in there ...

Just looking at how the game is changing these days from the days of my youth when it was 4-3 defenses, Power-I offenses, three yards and a cloud of dust. Of corse, those days linemen weren't even approaching 300+ pounds. 6'2" 285lbs was huge for a lineman in the 70's and early 80's.
Regardless of the scheme, however, good linemen always have been and always will be a staple of a good football team until the P/C folks outlaw hitting and trash talking in favor of two hand touch and conversation circles.
Gotta have the big'uns up front on either side to let the other guys do what they do best.

Maybe this guy will skip his senior year and opt for college. What? You can't do that? Man! lol
