Defense made some big plays but we gave up 26 first downs and 385 yds. The blocked kick and pick 6 nullified half of those yards thankfully. Great win and conf champs.

Your comment about our defense vs. UNC raises doubts about some of the “What If” speculation, i.e., What if Dabo had put Cade into the Notre Dame game in the first quarter for good, and he had had a very solid game? Our defense was very leaky in that game, so would we have won with Cade running the offense? Probaby not. We knew their backup QB was not a great passer, so we expected them to depend on their running game. And they ran the ball down our throats—263 yards rushing. And DJ was sacked four times.

If our offense could've stayed on the field & at least kicked a few more field goals. Then our defense wouldn't have wore out so badly. Their qb was not going to light us up, although thier TE is incredible. But our offense was constant 3 & out or turn the ball over.
