He was calm compared to what I would have done. I would have been ejected and fined and the press conference would not have been nice either. Glad he is the coach and not me.

It had to have been the bottle hitting the playing field rather than the the player punting the bottle. The guy looks like the scolded kid kicking the a bottle down the road.

been going down there since 1977 and nothing has changed. I went last minute this year after saying I would never go again and was just as disappointed in their fan base as I’ve always been. They get a little booze in them and completely lose their minds.
They all most come out of the womb yelling the f-bomb. What’s more disgusting is that the women, well they aren’t women, yell it as much as the trailer trash men. It is the hole of the nation and nothing good will ever happen to them because of their lack of class.

Yes, I heard that in the replay too and wondered why it had not been pointed out in the media. They made a big deal about the crowd cheering when Dabo was flagged but no mention of the classless chant they were doing right before.

ever... theres not another that acts that poorly. No wonder LIVE PD left Greenville but stayed in Columbia. That is a cespool and its not just a joke its the truth. The way they act, talk, and defy authority even as students of a state institution is baffling.

Eh the problem is the fan - looked like coot player was just frustratingly trying to get the bottle off the field of play...jmo...probably should have left it alone or hand it to ref

But in reality, I hate to see this kind of stuff, especially throwing stuff at opposing players.

Kick it off the field being true and it really looks like that may have been his intention however the second part about spurrier being booed Is not relevant here in the slightest. Literally every fan base will boo their rivals coach especially when it's their most well known and notorious coach that brought them the only success they've ever tasted and happened to beat us years in a row.
The booing wasn't even mean spirited and Spurrier loved it, it was more of a joke than anything. How you can compare that you a chant of "F*** you Dabo" in any way shape or form is insane.

Does anyone know or have any idea "who would be held liable if say, Hunter Renfrow had been hit in the eye bad enough to do real damage"? Would it be the security company in charge of the stadium? The school?
Either way; it amazingly enough would make South Carolina look bad( worse ). Seems like they would have a "high interest" in neutralizing the threat of any projectile throwing unruly fans!
But, I agree with a poster on another thread. You simply haul some butt off promptly and you would not have had the escalation take place!
I mean, in a day and age where people sue you for anything, these "mo rauns" seem content to just do the bare minimum to "look into" this incident! Not realizing it could potentially really cost them( if the answer to my 1st question is the school)?

So what's the rule? Can the officials call a penalty on the crowd? I think they can. Were the refs just making a bad judgment? Did we complain "officially" to the refs' superiors? Whose officials were they? I respect Dabo, but what did USC do? Was anyone taken out of the stadium? Where was stadium security? Or were they throwing trash too? Clemson would have been all over that. Someone would have been arrested or escorted out.

He was demonstrative, but I've seen WAAAAY worse from coaches, Dabo and just about all of them, without a flag. And I'm sure he uses colorful language but again, I think that happens all the time. So I'm curious what led to the ref pulling the flag. What line did Dabo cross to get a 15 yard penalty that quickly, that early in the game?
And wow. I didn't think the Gamecock fans could look worse but that's the first I heard the "F U Dabo" chant. My goodness those fans are out of their minds.

...to get in front before he kicks....then the bottle flys near them, didn't make it anywhere past the endzone. It clearly was not an attempt to put it back in the stands. He could have simply ignored it, thrown the bottle to the sideline or stands or he could have given it to the ref.
