Ground Control to Major Tom Ground Control to Major Tom Take your protein pills and put your helmet on Ground Control to Major Tom (ten, nine, eight, seven, six)
Commencing countdown, engines on (five, four, three, two) Check ignition and may God's love be with you (one, lift off) This is Ground Control to Major Tom You've really made the grade And the papers want to know whose shirts you wear Now it's time to leave the capsule if you dare
This is Major Tom to Ground Control I'm stepping through the door And I'm floating in a most peculiar way And the stars look very different today For here Am I sitting in a tin can Far above the world Planet Earth is blue And there's nothing I can do Though I'm past one hundred thousand miles I'm feeling very still And I think my spaceship knows which way to go Tell my wife I love her very much she knows
Ground Control to Major Tom Your circuit's dead, there's something wrong Can you hear me, Major Tom? Can you hear me, Major Tom? Can you hear me, Major Tom? Can you- Here am I floating 'round my tin can Far above the moon Planet Earth is blue And there's nothing I can do https://youtu.be/3L82DHQfcF8

Glad to see him take responsibility. But after that it was a whole lot of the same "we're not that far off, just a few plays away, etc." Hope springs eternal.

I’m glad he didn’t let the players off the hook completely. They’re not just college boys anymore. They’re professionals and need to perform as such.

I think he has finally heard some of the feedback from the fans this off-week. Maybe some of it has finally gotten through to him but its seems like this might be largely lip service. It seems he has finally realized his public response so far has not been received well at all - it has actually crashed and burned right before him and made things even worse. So he realizes there are some things he can't keep repeating but then again, he just cannot help himself. After acknowledging a few things, he goes right back into the same history lesson, factoids, and useless drivel. As many of us have said for the past five years, talk talk talk Dabo, whatever - just show us on the field. To be successful again, he is ultimately going to have to stop being so self absorbed and show the same humility Nick Saban did when he realized what had worked so well for him for so many years just was not working any more and made huge changes. All this talk about how this deterioration of the program is actually a blessing and that this may be a good thing in one person's life twenty years from now - that belongs in a voluntary weekly support group, not in a $11.5 million football coach's assessment of his program and his performance. I am not seeing any indication about significant personnel or philosophy changes. I am just seeing a doubling down on "everything is fine, just keep doing things the way we are doing them, this is just a little bump in the road, and people upset about our program's direction are "white noise." Saying this is a coaching failure sounds humble but not if it's not backed up with big changes and improvements. God doesn't say oops but Dabo should learn to say it. He is our man and he does so many things amazingly well. One of them needs to be admitting his own errors and fixing them. We don't want him to leave, we just want him to get over himself and make the necessary changes. Saban showed him exactly how to do it.

Why do you think WE are privy to private communication within the team?

Just like any major organization … or even a marriage, no doubt the issues and concerns are very much being addressed within the confines of that unit itself. Probably some harshly with honest discussions.
However, why would you want that communicated to the world? It’s none of “outsiders” business to know all the details.
Exposing that information would not be good for anyone. Especially since this is only temporary .. problems will be fixed… or other processes will be changed which may be better for the organization in the long run. And the organization will recover, and no one needs to be embarrassed by minor, temporary, short-term issues.
I support Dabo and his willingness to take the arrows for the program. He’s protecting the program and doing what he believes is best for the future of the organization. He’s doing what an intelligent leader does.

No one outside of the Clemson building is entitled to know what is said or not said to the team, Coaches, Staff, etc. It would only cause problems. If I am a HS or portal player thinking about going to Clemson if Dabo or staff tells the world who is or is not doing their job I would not be interested in attending Clemson. Outsider including me do not need to know the interworking of the program.

That was pretty disappointing. Apparently the only thing the coaches are doing wrong is not holding the players accountable. No mention about recruiting failures, poor personnel decisions, poor game strategies, poor or no in game adjustments to the opposition, poor play design, poor play calls. With a statement like that I don't see much hope for improvement.
