I think a FA contract or possibly 6th or 7th round would be okay. I wouldn't draft him though.

When I watch Cade, I think the same thing I thought when I watched Kelly Bryant and DJU: very good athlete (or better), but no real future as a pro QB, for the reasons mentioned in this article: processing speed, arm, decision-making. To me, it seems that Cade's improvement (such as it is) doesn't--and probably can't--match the concentration of talent at the college level. Surely it would be even worse in the pros.
The die is cast for this season, and it's not clear there's any roster alternative anyway, but still I wish Cade had done what Charlie Waters did.

Charlie Waters had an excellent NFL career. What is it you are referring to that he did?

Charlie Waters was at first a QB. He wasn't a clear first-stringer, as Cade apparently is, but his switch to safety is what got him the great NFL career he had.
Cade could do the same, because he is a great athlete. Similarly, DJU might have had a shot as a TE (like Tebow, who tried it much too late).
Braxton Miller is another example, though his NFL "career" as a receiver was short.

Initially, I guess they believed the preseason hype as well. Everyone believes what they’ve seen (haven’t seen) now…

Case was hyped because he was expected to improve at least slightly over last season. He has regressed. Whose fault is that? I hypothesize it's not all his.

Definitely does not have that “IT” factor. Unfortunately when a play has to be made I’m more worried about how he might screw it up. Always felt TL and DW would make it happen.
Lose a game on the last drive and had a missed FG and -2 on turnovers. Not winning football regardless of who you are playing.

Clemson nation has seen this train wreck in slow motion happening over the last couple years so it wasn’t news to us.
We have supposed four and five star talent coming in and most regress. I don’t know if I can say Parker or Woods have progressed? I feel like they have what they came in with? Either we are not evaluating talent objectively or we’re just not developing players.

You know I’ve seen QB’s like this they have a bad season starting off as a freshman except for Trevor and then as a sophomore they do a little better and then as a junior they exceed expectations and are a top 5 QB then senior season they completely suck. I’ve seen this with a bunch of Clemson Quarterbacks over the years and now watching Cade, this is the same case his senior season and to be honest the hype messed him up mentally and physically and especially when they said he’d win the Heisman. It got to his head and he WILL NEVER win another bigs game! Mark my words Cade doesn’t even know what planet he’s own and you know who’s fault it is? First Dabo then what should be the first one Garrett Riley. Garrett Riley does not know how to run this offense and He needs to be fired immediately!!!!!

Cade is a Undrafte free Agent. With practice team written all over him. He doesn't have it in him to lead a team to victory. You know it when you see it. But he has made further than a lot of young men in America so there is that.

Not surprised by this assessment. I have asked from the beginning.... who rated this young man as a 5 star QB prospect? He looks like a deer in the headlights. It's like he not used to the speed of the game. I ws really amazed with all this preseason heisman talk. Kind of wondering if I was missing something. All it took was for 3 games to prove what I thought. Cade is not a 1st round QB talent. Hope all this talk ends. Let the young man finish his Sr season and let the chips fall where they may.

Well duh 🙄! I don’t get what these media outlets were thinking about when they said Cade was a Heisman candidate, or a top prospect for the NFL, just blows my brain waves out of sync. Cade has been lousy this season, and he’s not consistent, though he is consistent in the fact that he doesn’t play to the game plan that Garrett Riley has provided. I have watched Garrett closely, every time Cade goes of ######, Garrett starts Woosah breathing techniques, just pay attention in this Saturdays game when Cade goes on his own, Garrett will start mumbling under his breath whoosah! If Cade does go to the NFL, he possibly will get on the practice squad, which means he’ll be UFL bound.
