7-5 shouldn’t be even brought up in the conversation. I have heard him a few times (like on Gramlich and Mac on YouTube) and something about him irrates me.

He’s just trying to cover his #### predicting a best case/worse case scenario. If you are going predict on a team then stay with one prediction.

Typical responses. Most on here say a pundit is great as long as they sing the praise and predict an undefeated natty. But if anyone has a different position, then they're a quack. Or a homer.

I've always been a fan of pate. He's actually one of the few that really do their homework. He said 7-5 is the worst case... he's right, there's 5 teams that have a chance to compete. We'd have to lose all 5. No one, not even him would predict that. Most all of the models run predict us as a 10+ regular season.

First game of the year between ANY two top 5 or top 10 teams can go either way. And if said team gets beat but then develop the rest of the season, then that team will be ranked very high too. Assuming that first game was competitive.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. But many of these "experts" flip flop on their predictions, based on who they are speaking with, who the audience is, etc.
