JREwing, sorry but I think that you're wrong about Dabo bc I'm sure that he would do really good at about anywhere he landed if he was to ever want to leave Clemson. Regardless of everything that is happening with our FB team this season for sure, I just don't think that Dabo is quite ready to pack his bags and move on from Clemson just yet.

I do not believe in anyway shape or form that Dabo is anywhere close to being on a hot seat as the HC at Clemson!!! His teams playing in 4 National Championship games and winning two National Championships with all the ACC championships he has won has bought him a few seasons like we're having now before he gets close to being on a hot seat as the Clemson HC...

Dabo is not even close to a hot seat.

He's earned it.

Dabo - is no where near a Hot seat topic. He has won too much and represented the University with the utmost class of any coach to ever Coach Clemson University .

I’m going out on a limb, I believe Dabo is hurting. Based on his comments pre Syracuse he has NO idea he’d loose that game . It showed is his postgame. Sabon’s statements about Dabo and Standard rings more true than ever.

I have a bad feeling about All of this. I don’t see Coach embracing NIL transfers for most $$. It’s a slap in the face to everything he stands for . PAW journey, Honor , keeping your word etc.

I think he thought this year would be the year that he could prove ā€œMy way worksā€ and that’s why I believe he’s so very hurt because he knows he cannot embrace this new era . As Sabon did - it wouldn’t surprise me if he stepped away honorably . Just my opinion.

Yes he has, but I do think that after winning the two NCG's for Clemson, I actually think that he lost focus bc he took Clemson FB as high as he could take us, and he got lost with giving good friends and past players that helped him accomplish all that he did accomplish at Clemson, he wanted to give them a chance at coaching that they may not have gotten anywhere else, and he could see that college FB had big changes coming in the near future and he wanted to give those guys a chance before college FB made the big changes he saw coming. He knows they will all be on their own when those big changes come...

I too think Dabo’s hurting right now. You could hear it in his comments post-Syracuse. Agree that based on his pregame comments, he thought he could ā€œspeak into existenceā€ the win, which in his mind would have sparked a run of good luck and more wins for us. But alas, it was not to be. Being a head coach is hard, but I don’t think he’s going anywhere. Not with the school as deeply invested in him as it is. If they had to buy him out, they’d have to go bargain basement for their next hire because the school’s coffers would be empty after sending Dabo off with his golden parachute.

What does you purchasing tickets for 20 years have to do with knowing anything at all about what's going on at Florida?

He won't go to Florida, I'd be far more concerned about him jumping over to auburn. Makes FAR more sense.

I don't see Dabo becoming the HC at Bama's most hated rival for any amount of money or to remain a HC in college FB. Think as you please but Dabo loves Bama and he's not going to turn trader on all the friends that he has at Bama just to be a HC at Aubum. No way would Dabo ever feel that hard up to remain a HC in college FB!!!

Part of me wishes Spurrier could come back coaching again for at least another 10 years somewhere. Kinda miss the visor throwing and his press conferences.

I'd settle for having a beer with him and talking some sports though.

Spurrier would be the right person to sit down with and talk college FB and have a cold beer with, bc I bet he has some stories that would make you laugh your A$$ off!!! I will say that I've never hated the man, and I've always thought that before he became the coot HC, he was a really good college level HC!!!

You mean you don't have an appreciation for the classic Clemson and Cal or NC State and Stanford matchups, lol? The ACC is such a mess and without any clear direction or identity. They really missed their chance when they didn't merge with the remaining PAC-12 after SC and UCLA left. Could have had a East/West division thing...American Coastal Conference. Missed opportunity that's now relegated the conference to a distant third in earnings.

My biggest wish and in my prayers, I hope to live long enough to see our beloved Clemson as far away from the ACC as we can possibly get and taking Dabo along to help our Tigers win another NC in whatever conference we end up in. Go Tigers, Go Dabo and here's to winning another NC in a new conference!!!
