By the ratings it's our best class ever , and I enjoy that notion. Compounding these classes now with yet another stunner getting started for 2021 .
Don't sweat it , we too deep .

Exactly, everyone knows once a player commits to Clemson they lose a star, 1.5 for enrolling early. But no one ever disrespects Clemson it's all in our heads.

It really doesn’t matter. Developing a team from the players available is much more important. Dabo is good at that!

That right there is the key, and I see it getting nothing but better for us. I'm sure AL still will be a formidable foe, but I worry not much about ugay nor the rest of them.

Alabama claims the 1973 National Championship but lost their bowl game, so we can still claim that when we finished signing our class it was No. 1 and we are The 2020 Recruiting National Champions! Unless UGA has copyrighted Recruiting National Champion! Wait...cant use The either!

The truth is nothing provided a legitimate reason for us to drop. The reason, plain and simple is the secheat must me ranked higher, no matter what. It's in their contract with rating services, or something. It won't matter, though, because we almost always whip their arses when we play most of them.

ugay always has a top rated class. They just don't get the most out of them. Think back to all the talent Mark Richt had, and now Kirby, but not much to show for it, at all, except dashed hopes, and unrealized dreams.

Doesn’t matter. In two years Clemson will have 95-100% of the players signed In this class. BAMA and UGAy will maybe Have 80-85% of their’s.

I thought the talking heads said our class might be the best all time. It was known then that we were finished and AL and GA were still going to add recruits. Seems like something funny is going on. I hope the players that dropped use it as a chip on their shoulder and play out of their minds! GO TIGERS!!!

This would be irrelevant if several polls did not use recruiting rankings to establish how teams were ranked on the field. Two teams jumped us without adding players and both are from the SEC. The trickle down effect is that SEC teams are ranked higher initially, their SOS are therefore better, and in polls even at the end of the season they have a slight bump.

The players being ranked higly are nice to talk about ...
Jan 29, 2020, 12:50 PM
|
|
... but I trust our coaching staff to evaluate and rank them much more honestly than sports news entities that have something to gain from manipulating the player rankings.
We've seen how good the news services are by their low ratings of players like Grady Jarrett, Beasley, Renfrow, Humphries, and countless others that have ended up played big-time ball for the Tigers.
However, when I read the articles about the players, WHERE they are ranked is less important to me than WHO the players are. Having the #1 class would be a feather in our cap, but it doesn't much matter because we develop the heck out of our players during their time in the program. It's not where you start, but where you finish. And in 4 years, each one of them are going to be winners!! ">
So many times I'm blown away by the quality of these young men ... oh, and they can play ball too ... that Clemson welcomes to the Clemson Family.
Each one of our commits this year is a 5-star in my eyes. Their good attitude and willingness to work and study hard is imperative to their success, and our program gives each player the resources and tools to grow as a player and man ... and exhaust their experience here at Clemson.
I love the stories of players like Trenton Simpson who wanted so badly to become a Clemson Tiger, and the opportunity arose to welcome him to the team.
I remember when DJ visited and his father, while walking past the West End appeared to motion that "He's coming HERE!" on his way out. (It turned out to be true!)
No thanks, I'll take OUR COMMITTED TIGERS over any other players ... even if they each had 2 fewer "stars", just because they are ours!
Let's get after it boys!! GO TIGERS!!!

Who actually expected Clemson FB to stay at the top of the recruiting war, certainly not me. This is just another part of the SECHEAT homeism games they love playing. Putting ACC Clemson or another conference out front for a while, then tell their story of how the mighty SEC powered their way back to the top TAKING BACK 1st place... That makes them feel powerful by telling their story how more of their dummies dropped out of school to inter the NFL, and were able to recruit a few more players. What they fail to mention is how the SEC over recruited to be able to take over 1st place in the recruiting war!!!
The truth really is, if any other team was to match the very same # of players as what Clemson recruited with their best recruits, Clemson would have won the recruiting battle without over recruiting the way the SEC does. Match number per number, star per star, and Clemson wins the battle that they can't deal with what it really is, it don't fit their agenda!!!!

I am a bit of a conspiracy theorist, only heightened more by the treatment of Dabo and his "Cats" lately. 20 years in the army was also a large influence. It seems to me, any time Clemson is positioned to shine a little brighter in the pantheon of sports greatness, somehow, some virus attacks what seems like a pretty solid position. Now this recruiting ranking,... um re-ranking. Shouldnt these steps be made a bit sooner? Why does it come now. To a Clemson fan, It can only appear that some one has been playing loose and free with these players standings, in order to promote another team/conference, or to deny Clemson an opportunity to reach a new height in their program. Certainly, there is enough booster money to make this happen. Not every sports fans being above reproach, but it sure seems these "events," come the Tigers way in a rather obtuse manner. Maybe, it's just me, always suspicious of what can't be SEEN. Sorry so long, frustration build up. Hate to see the effort of these recruits being used/misused IMO to further the aims of others. So, I will quit being suspicious of these things from now own and be a vegetable drawing my nutrients from the soil of people paid to comment on sports, hmmm. LOL. It use to be fun to be suspicious, alas, "the good ole days, they're gone forever!"
