It's a great move. Recommended it on Tnet before/after Game 1. The distinction is BV brought that great energy to the field. Wes Goodwin emulated BV and worked on the field - a bad move because Wesleychick's skill set was always analyzing opponent schemes and plays from the upper box.
Anyway, Allen brings that energy back to the field. Win-Win. Go Tigers!

It never made any sense to me that he was not on the field from the beginning - we has someone with NO FIRE the past two years and you see where it got us. Allen was brough in for that fire (among other things) and that was what was talked about all spring - the new excitement and emotion he was bringing us and then we put it out of sight and out of mine by moving him upstairs.
Bad call to allow that on Dabo's part as it likely cost us a shot at the ACC title and playoff birth by losing badly to a POOR Syracuse team without its QB!
Lesson learned I hope!

It makes sense for offensive coordinators to be in the booth but not defensive. Defenses feed off of emotion and it's hard to get pumped up when your commander isn't even on the battlefield with you.

Woodaz should be benched IMO, both backup linebackers are currently playing better than him.
