I’m glad he is because I’m to the point I’m ready to roll with Gunn and take our licks. That missed FG vs FSU will go down as one of the worse missed FGs in Clemson history

Got to agree on all points.
Question as far as redshirt on kickers…why not let Gunn kick at least one FG a game last season to get experience?
I know I have never been a coach and probably just can’t translate my operating experience, statistical logic on these coaching moves.

At this point, I wonder why we don't let Gunn start the rest of the season? It makes more sense to me to have Weitz as his backup so Gunn can get experience sooner than later. Might as well try and get all the young guys experience.

It's easy. Gunn's a highly touted recruit. He's not one of the Swinney's kids buddies. You know we don't do meritocracies here.

Y’all are smoking a crack pipe. Gunn was duck hooking or drilling them low and left with absolutely no hope. Weitz is striking it pretty cleanly and I didn’t think he had any range beyond 40 but he does. The miss against FSU was 100% on Dabo for not trying to get in the end zone and playing to win. Weitz was probably a little competitively rusty but is likely at 100% mentally now. If Gunn had missed the FSU kick he probably crawls in a sewer and never comes out.

I'm pretty sure Gunn doesn't miss the 29 yarder to beat FSU, that was ridiculous. At this point, they should've just let Gunn finish it out, Weitz would have to be the clear cut favorite to keep the job, and he hasn't at all.

Gunn's misses:
41yd FG 23yd FG PAT 31yd FG
Why in the world are you "pretty sure" that Gunn wouldn't miss a 29 yarder?

Like I said, after Weitz proved he was no better, what dif does it make. Gunn could've had the chance to work his way out of it. Still a high chance he makes the kick.

Weitz is no better? Have you compared how massively different their kicks are? Yes, Weitz has missed. Gunn nearly kicked the ball sideways, multiple times.

Weitz needs to let his performances speak for themselves....Right now he has been pulling everything to the left on all of his kicks!!!! Time to put up or shut up!!!!

Long time Tiger fan here, but so many articles about what we're gonna do from last year to this year from DJ and his confidence to Cades the man (and he will be) now we're in the second half of the season and more confidence pledges by players, "we're gonna go out, kick butt and take names". These guys and Coaches have gone almost nine months of preparation and come out the 1st game of the season and choke with fumbles, missed field goals, ect. and it got a little worse at times, from bonehead play calls to more fumbles, mishandled balls, dropped passes, ect. These are mistakes I've never seen by Clemson in such quantity so early in a season, there should easily have been 2 mores wins. At the end of this article there's talk about Clemson dominating Miami, just remember this is not the same Miami Team nor the same Clemson Team, it all is going to depend on which Clemson Team shows up tonite!! Hopefully a new stat line wont start tonite, I'm holding my breath in hopes its the no fumbles, no PI's, no dropped balls or mishandled punt returns nor bonehead offensive calls Clemson Team. Just a little frustrated here, I'm all in for a big turnaround at Miami. Maybe it will come down to Cristobal saving us in the last few seconds, lol Go GTech.
GO TIGERS.

Good for you young man. But at this point, your words don't give anyone the warm and fuzzies. How about at least for the time being, keep your trap shut and just go prove it on the field.
