TNET: Venables not looking elsewhere, loves feeling "valued" at Clemson

Venables not looking elsewhere, loves feeling "valued" at Clemson

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney has a mantra that he lives by that says, “bloom where you are planted.” Defensive coordinator Brent Venables lives that every day, but especially so when other schools come calling for his services. Full Story »

""Coach V"" is "'DA MAN"" ______ Love his answer, every time the media spews that ""fake news"" of him coaching somewhere else !!!!! I truly believe,Coach V and Dabo will be on the sidelines of Clemson University, until they can't coach any longer _________ Tony Elliott will probably still be with em' and maybe even others as well ??? ____________ ****There's Something In These Hills*******

Say it again Big, bc, if a Clemson fan don't like BV, and everything he has brought to Clemson FB, just maybe they should find another power 5 school to be a fan of. I love BV, I really do, and he has been an incredible asset to Dabo and Clemson FB from the first day he walk on the Clemson campus as the Clemson DC!!!

We are so lucky to have him as DC. He gave our defense an identity after Steele had made it look soft with “bend but don’t break”. Now we are known as a cannon of a defense that always brings heat. I love it. We may give up some chunk plays in this style from time to time, but it creates more big hits, more disruption, more turnovers, more excitement!!!! I genuinely enjoy watching our defense as much as our offense and that wasn’t always the case in my 35 years of being a Tiger.

Also lucky to have a HC that makes sure he hires the right people, and compensates them in a way that makes it difficult to leave. That also bulks up recruiting. We are a well-oiled machine, and what a special time to be a Clemson Tiger!

I think Elliot will move to a head coaching gig.

Venables loves his job and he loves Clemson. And he makes a ton of money.

Taking over and trying to build or rebuild a program is not the goal of every great coach. Even if the money is astronomical.

He doesn’t have to look much further than Chad to see where it all can lead.

Brent Venables felt that that last game against ND was a personal insult to him personally, and I'm betting that the free space that Book had in our last game will not be the issue in the game this coming Saturday. I think/believe that Ian Book is going to feel what it's like to be the Prey!!!

If he feels "valued", maybe we should be "concerned"

I think we have the best DC

Dec 15, 2020, 4:18 PM

in college football. Previous to BV, I saw Clemson defenses that struggled to make adjustments in-game but BV is a master at making adjustments when the offensive game plan has a different wrinkle or Clemson’s defensive execution is not up to par.

I respect Notre Dame, and especially their talent up front, but I will be surprised if Ian Book has enough success on Saturday night to make the game close. BV is a master of formulating a plan of attack. I think we have seen the best Notre Dame has and BV has had weeks to break them down. Ian Book will leave frustrated because we have the most intelligent, intense, DC in the business roaming he sidelines like a junkyard dog.

If one man's word means anything at all, Coach Venables, you

Dec 15, 2020, 4:49 PM

are most DEFINITELY highly valued here at Clemson. There is not a DC in the whole country I would trade you for. I hope that you and Dabo will be together as long as Beamer and Foster were at Va Tech, if not longer.

No doubt he's the ??. He doesn't do social media except private for players. It would be awesome if we got a petition together that we could send to the BOT, DRad et al requesting they give CDS and CBV a lifetime contract. Count me All In.

Another request to posters on here. Let's please refrain from the personal attacks on players, especially the coaches children.
