only 2 of the 22 score predictions have been over on the amount our opponent scored. I would predict that trend to continue this week

I think the concern is with the Wake passing game. QB releases the ball quickly, and our DBs looked a bit vulnerable last week. Hope we get two or three of these guys back this week: Sheridan Jones and Andrew Mukuba and Nate Wiggins. And hopefully we get Brian Bresee, Tyler Davis and Tre Williams back as we need to put pressure on the QB.
In either case, Clemson just needs to come prepared to play 4 solid quarters of O and D. I'm optimistic.
GO TIGERS!

Punt coverage was curiously sloppy last week ... we looked
Sep 23, 2022, 9:19 AM
|
|
... as if we assumed a fair catch was coming a couple of times when it wasn’t. We let La Tech get off a couple of nice punt returns even though we were in position on coverage.

We haven't had a really good punter in a long time . I haven't seen any improvement this year.

I don’t think the score will be that close

*unless Wake scores some in the 4th to make it look closer. I see us winning this one pretty easily.
Now next week is a different story. Probably our toughest test of the year.

If Wake changes up and throws quick passes instead of the slow mesh we could struggle defensively and they will score more. If they run that slow mesh our D Line will blow it up before it can develop. I think our offense is good for 28-35 points. Prediction is 35 - 24 Tigers. And no one should be unhappy with that score.

I predict the score will be 0-0 due to the "blackout". No one will be able to see the ball. Similar to Stevie wonder and ray Charles playing tennis (the definition of endless love). Dated and not pc joke from long ago, but still funny.

Coming into the year we were predicted to have one of the premier defenses in the country. Still don't know who will be back but it is time to show that type of defense that we have not shown yet. On Offense, I wouldn't mind seeing some 21 personnel out there at times as it really worked at the end of the year last year. Score I want - 38-3 Score I'll be happy with 31-17. GO TIGERS

Offensive line must play well and take over the game. Our defense has to pressure QB Hartman because he tends to throw INT's when he is under attack. The secondary has to play better against Wake or they will throw up some points on the scoreboard. We are getting NO respect in the media so we have to prove our status once again. As, the great Al Davis said " just win baby ".

I'm right there with Crump and Kantor at 31-24. But I like Pensy's forecast a lot better! Love to see the Tigers ring up 50+ ... Go Tigers!

If Clemson scores 37 points, I can guarantee a victory. I would look for a lower scoring game. If it's a blowout, then it's Clemson.

It's unlikely to happen but I'd love to see us win by a 30+ point margin. Along the lines of 48-17. Football program is due for a week of no frustrations and bickering fans.

But as for my actual prediction....thinking a 31-24 game with the Tigers getting the W. while the offense still slogs it's way through to find an identity and the defense gives up a few big plays to keep the game close.

Antonio Williams puts on a show today guys. Just think he has the "it" factor. Plus, he's the only receiver that can get open. Tigers 47 wake 17.
Ps - don't sleep on Davis and Bresee. It's going to be an emotional game. Wake is going to catch it today.

Tigers 48-20. Running game goes wild and the D-line spends a lot of time in the WF backfield. Those hollering for CK will see him play a fair amount in the 4th quarter...
