Did they not ask exactly what it was he wanted to achieve?
I believe in Dabo.
Go Tigers.

Let me just say this, when Dabo come to Clemson he came as a WR coach I believe, and when he came he didn't have a clue of how long that job would last. If that statement was actually quoted the way that Dabo said it, well I don't understand him making that statement when coming in as a WR coach for Tommy Bowden...

We got robbed of at least 20 years of Danny Ford, after he departed. A definite Winner we lost! WE got our second chance when Dabo became Head Coach. I hope he retires from Clemson with 400 wins! Dabo is doing a great job, and there is not another coach I would want in his place at Clemson.
Love the team we will be fielding this year, and the challenging start with Georgia. To win another championship, we have to play great and have a little luck! It get's tougher every year, and Dabo has the team to make a run this year!
Go Tigers, Whoop dem Dawgs!

Scottie Schleffler and Dabo Swinney are from two different generations.

So many things, good and bad, have been said about Dabo, and much of that reflects his faith. I also appreciate his desire to keep college football an amateur sport. I do not think he will succeed. The tide toward making college football NFL-lite is too strong, but I hope he will continue his struggle. As long as Dabo stays at Clemson and Clemson remains competitive, the amateur spirit can surivive. When Dabo leaves, any semblance of amateur sports will die away from college football. I hope he has many more years with us before that dismal reality takes place.

This is a man! He knows himself and he knows how young men respond to any and all things that are thrown at them. He began as an interim coach with a 3-3 record. I’m not going to list all his accomplishments and Clemson’s hardware that represent winning and championships of all levels. We all know them. This man is at “the interim” period again. With all the changes college football has endured in the last few seasons, it could get worse before it gets better. But regardless of the state of college football, we have the best coach in America!! He’s not going to win a National Championship every year but all the great ones never did either. He’s not going to get every 5 star high school athlete, but you can bet on one thing. The ones that he does get, will be the cream of the crop when they finish their time at Clemson. Not only as football players but as students, friends and teammates. All of you that question every move and decision he makes, I just laugh and sit back and watch what is about to happen. The old saying here is….get your popcorn ready. It’s going to be fun!!!

Renfrow will make a great coach after Dabo if that’s his desire and calling.
Proud of Dabo, he’s done an incredible job no matter what the house coots say about him and cheerleading.
Then they went and got a guy they hoped would be like him, not!
The best is yet to come! Let’s go!

You have got to be kidding...and TNET cuts my posts! Renfrow has never coached and accountants rarely do great things other than audits and your taxes!

Dabo Swinney has excelled and now the landscape has changed

The obstacle(s) moving forward revolve around the ability of UGA, BAMA, LSU, OKLA, TEX, OHIO ST, MICH and others having a competitive advantage in their willingness to utilize and pay top portal transfers. These recruited transfers can come from all other schools including Clemson if the NIL payment is sufficient.
Dabo and Clemson Football have to determine: 1) how to recruit players to play early or that will not leave if they don't play early, 2) how to recruit quality o-linemen (Luke will make a difference) and a top 3 QB, 3) and how to allow Garrett Riley and follow-on OC's to run the Offense with a run-pass balance that fits the personnel (Dabo is not an OC).
Dabo may have a hit a home run with Wes as DC (and Eason & Reed have helped), and the Defense has continued to perform after BV's departure. Time will tell, but well done on recruiting & development by Defensive coaches.
Only a Clemson shift to the SEC or B1G will help level the financial playing field. It will also detract from the ability of Kirby Smart, Ryan Day and others to marginalize the ACC to OL and other recruits who are primarily focused on the NFL. It's a tough landscape, but Dabo will adjust and succeed.

Because I didn’t donate to NIL collectives for them to only be used as a player retention fund. Gotta evolve to achieve what you envisioned Coach. Keep pushing this program forward, you have the support from the fanbase.

Dabo's stock may be in a trough right now. This is normal and certainly temporary. I am buying up all the Dabo stock I can because I truly believe in this guy!

How do you know that? You dont. God calls people to honor him in whatever they do. I wouldn't presume that I know what God does or doesnt do. If God thinks Dabo can honor Him by touching the lives of young men and be an example then God will open doors for him.

God guides all his people to places he wants them to go that are listening. The only thing Dabo left out was, God calls who know him, not for our glory, but for His! He hears our prayers however, His will will be done! In other words this is not about Dabo as the article has been made out to look like, but all the thousands of young men Dabo has a chance to show the love of Christ.

Successes and 'failures' during this chaotic period will be hard to predict. So many people think they know what to do to be successful, but they're all wrong.

W.C. Swinney has made a difference since being a top-tier recruiter. (see below)
Football is still a team sport and having a "collection of talent" doesn't work if that collection of talent doesn't work together: see multiple Texas A&M teams, Ohio State frequently, Georgia before the last few years, Florida, Auburn, Southern Cal, etc. (See below)
You still have to have the "straw that stirs the drink"! Georgia has a good straw(coach)! See below.
Clemson has a proven straw(Dabo). See below.
Fact is; Clemson right now is among some of the top NIL schools. Folks acting like Clemson has "zero dollars" need to stop. I have seen one more recent where Clemson was 5th(but I couldn't find it). Good man. Running a good program. Kids who do not make it to the league respect the man; even well after football. That means a lot folks. Not just so when these players have kids they might strongly consider Clemson(hehehe j/k). But, because you want Coaches across the country to continue talking up Clemson. We do right by the kids they send here and as long as that is the case; Clemson and Dabo will be just fine. See below.

All I’ll say is that we won two National Championships under Dabo which is a lot more than most Clemson fans ever thought he would achieve. I’m 38 and will gladly die a happy Clemson fan based on what I was blessed to see in my lifetime. I don’t think that gives Dabo a free pass forever but I’m extremely grateful because I never thought I’d ever see that in my lifetime.
