Didn’t mean to TU. That was your take away from the interviews with Ship in the last few weeks? Or are you just very poor at satire and/or sarcasm?

Leadership on the field is a MUST and if it comes from Shipley, that is a good thing. The players on the field with him should sense that he is taking that role and respond in a very positive way. The coaches can handle this. Apparently coach Spiller is on top of this. I hope that the defense has a similar “problem”!

Since Ship got healthy his freshman year mid-season, he has been the clear leader on the field on offense, and sometimes beyond. We owned the longest winning streak in the country at one point soon after he returned as a Frosh closing out 6-0 then and starting off 8-0 last season. Then Heisman talk for the QB and wheels off around him.
On the field leadership is an absolute key to championships. Dabo has been on that boat since Day One. And he knows you can have more than one at a time to boot, which is when we've really flourished.
Go Tigers.

Closest thing to Ben Boulware the last few years. Love seeing this fire on the offensive side. We just need that alpha on the Defense like we’ve had with Boulware and Skalski.

I like it! Like BC said, he makes us better. A little smack talk is good any team.
Ship looks like he hit the weight room hard in the off-season. I am expecting a big year from him and Mafah. Go Tigers!

Plus, I would add, I wouldn't not mind a P!$$3D Off Defense. We have incredible potentel & talent this year. I really stout defense (Top 3-5) would be perfect.

good to see the fire, we need leaders like that on offense as long as they don't go overboard. Like that Carter said he is usually quiet, and usually let his play to the talking.

I like the fact that Ship talks when he needs to make a point but is quiet and about his business most of the time. There are times that you need a leader to step up and motivate people.
