Are Crump and B-Meist paying you with Burger King coupons like they did when DavidHood® was starting out? Hope it's enough to keep you around. Love the updates, keep up the good work.

Burger King has just introduced their new spicy crunchy chicken sandwich so don't pass on the importance of those coupons!

Clemson Paw What's your thoughts on limit of DB signees in this class? Would we take more than two safeties (Covil and hopefully Saab) and 2 corners (Pride and Lukus and/or Everette)? Was also curious on if numbers would effect Clemson or UNC for the DB targets as we both have 1 commitment and are heavily recruiting Lukus and Everette. Could one of the schools land both or likely split the two between Clemson and UNC?

Re: TNET: Recruiting update: After June commits, what's next for Clemson's 2022 class?

Jun 29, 2021, 1:35 PM

Not Clemson Paw but it appears we are taking 2 safeties and 3 corners. Then there is always room for an oversign in the case a 5* that every school would make room for wants to commit. Those 5*s have the luxury to wait things out a bit more.

This appears to be almost entirely compiled from TI’s recent updates. How much of your posts are actually through your own connections vs. re-framing the recruiting updates on other sites?

I agree. Clemson Paw always acts like he's the first in the know but I feel like he's actually just repackaging news we've heard elsewhere and before and acting like he's the first to state it. Every piece of this information came from TI and elsewhere on the forums.

Jun 29, 2021, 2:36 PM [ in reply to Re: TNET: Recruiting update: After June commits, what's next for Clemson's 2022 class? ]

No all of this information is mine except for the Alexander interview which I citied, I will link that at the end of what is going to be a long post.

I do not like or appreciate my credibility being called into account so here are some things that I know, and have chosen to exclude from reports simply because I do not want to betray my contacts; however, they have given me the green light.

-I spoke about how I do not know how Travis Shaw interacted with other coaching staffs, that is why I do not include what I am about to. I do know how he interacted with ours, during the Retreat, according to MY CONTACT, he told the coaches and I quote "We lead", again per MY CONTACT Shaw told Clemson's coaches that they led. I did not include that because Shaw could have very well told all the coaching staffs that; however, I know for a fact he told ours they did. You probably did not hear that anywhere.

-If you read other recruiting boards you have probably been told, because everyone now believes this, that Daylen Everette is a UNC lean because of location and his brother playing at Elon and his dad works off of I-40 every quarter for business. However, that is not the case, at worst he is a push between the two schools after talking to people, at best Clemson has a small lead. People have assumed based on factors that UNC lead, I am telling you based on contacts.

Finally, I hate doing this but I have been given the green light, at this time Clemson currently has 3 silent commits, Campbell was for about two weeks by my count. Two have been for about 3 weeks now and one is very, very recent within the last 48 hours. Obviously I am not going to tell you the names but read the reports and read between the lines.

-Also whenever I use a prospects ranking I personally use 247 sports as I believe that Rivals is a below par network, just my opinion.

Here is some examples of that in my previous work.

-First I went into detail about everyone of Clemson's initial offers for the class of '23 the day after they offered here is that now:
Yesterday’s offers, all were on defense.

Denotes their Top 247 ranking.

#1 1 Lebbeus Overton DE Ga: He will visit Georgia on June 2, Alabama on June 5, Oklahoma on June 19 and Texas A&M on June 21. After that he will come to Clemson some time in July, you know, to eat some hamburgers <img border=">, he has already been to Clemson his freshman year. He has connections everywhere as his father has worked at Alabama and Texas A&M and played at Oklahoma. He has said on multiple occasions that Clemson is his favorite school right now, but that could change with visits. Let me say that IMO this ends up Clemson, UGA, and Bama.

#2 Peter Woods DT /DE Alabama: He will be at Clemson on June 2nd before he heads to UGA the next day and Bama later in the month. Also wants to see LSU, Clemson already in the top group there.

#8 Caleb Downs S Ga: He will be at Clemson June 4th, then UGA, FSU,ND, OSU, and Alabama. His brother plays at UNC, so you have to watch them. Clemson has a great chance here. I think this winds up a Clemson, UNC, UGA, and maybe Bama.

#11 Anthony Hill JR Texas: Working on scheduling a Clemson visit along with OSU, with visits to Texas, Texas A&M, and Bama already lined up.

#13 Sonny Styles Ohio: Being in-state OSU will push like heck, his dad also played for them. His brother is at ND so they also have an in. No visit yet.

#14 Tony Mitchell CB Alabama: Mitchell will be at Clemson on June 4th. Remember I told y'all that Clemson is involved heavily here and Mitchell told Letterman Row "But Clemson is my dream school, so I’d say them if I had to pick a favorite team or someone that I rooted for. I just always liked them since they had Deshaun Watson, Mike Williams, Deandre Hopkins and Sammy Watkins. They’ve been showing me major love since my freshman year. It’s just different up there.” Best example I could give of his interest in Clemson. While he lives in Alabama, he is not from there as he was born in FL, he will also be at Georgia, LSU, USC, Ohio State, and Alabama in June.

#15 Matayo Uiagalelei DE Cali: As I hope you can tell he is DJ's brother and he is another baller. Has a visit to Clemson this weekend with his cousin. I have cautioned y'all that USC is a serious threat as he wants to be a music producer and LA would obviously be better for that than here. However, recently I have liked Clemson's chances a little better, but UGA and OSU are also high on his list.

#16 Malik Bryant DE FL: He will visit Clemson today, so read about him later in the post.

#23 Rahmir Stewart S Pa: No visit to Clemson yet. Alabama, Penn State, LSU, and A&M.

#26 David Hicks Jr DL Texas: No visit yet either; Texas and Texas A&M are slotted for visits.

#30 Vic Burley DL Ga: He will camp June 11th. UGA involved heavily here.

#54 Drayk Bowen OLB Indiana: He says that he talks to ND and Clemson on a constant basis, but ND has to be considered the favorite being in-state. He will visit June 9th.

#73 Kelby Collins Alabama: He will be visiting June 5th.

#111 Raylen Wilson Fl: No visit yet, but USC, FSU, and UGA are all of interest.

#120 Josiah Trotter Pa. The brother of Jeremiah Trotter, recent class of 21 commit. No scheduled dates right now, but watch June 13th as a day he could make it to Clemson.

#122 Tackett Curtis La.: Will visit Clemson on June 11th. I actually like Clemson’s chances early. Watch LSU, A&M, and UGA

#169 Damon Wilson FL: No visits scheduled yet but he said that Clemson, Bama, and Florida are teams that are coming hard.

-Here are two links to something that I started; whenever 247 updates their rankings I go over where Clemson stands with each.
https://www.tigernet.com/forums/message.jspa?messageID=28965826#28965826

#1 Lebbeus Overton DE Ga: He will visit Georgia on June 2, Alabama on June 5, Oklahoma on June 19 and Texas A&M on June 21. #2 Peter Woods DT /DE Alabama: He will be at Clemson on June 2nd before he heads to UGA the next day and Bama later in the month. Also wants to see LSU, Clemson already in the top group there.

#4 Arch Manning QB La: If you read my updates you already have a pretty good idea of what is happening here. Small change of date as he will be at Clemson either June 2nd or June 5th, unless he sticks with his June 8th visit originally, either way he is going to be on Campus the first week with his Brother. Later in the month he will go to Texas, Alabama, and UGA. He has already seen LSU and Ole Miss multiple times.

#5 Malachi Nelson QB Cali: After spreading doubt on whether he would be at Clemson it does still seem that Nelson will be at Clemson potentially on June 5th. He is planning to commit in July, and unless Clemson can pull off a miracle OU will be the choice.

#7 Cormani McClain CB FL: Clemson has not really offered much interest here, but he has said that if Clemson offered they would immediately be in his "top 2".

#9 Dante Moore QB Michigan: While no date has been scheduled he wants to camp at Clemson, along with Texas, LSU, Florida State, North Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee. Also wants to check out the local schools, ND and Michigan. Very interesting to me that OSU is not on that list, Clemson is always the first or second team he mentions.

#10 Brandon Innis WR FL: His scheduled trips are Miami on June 2, Georgia on June 5 and Oklahoma on June 18, but he wants to go to Bama, Clemson, and OSU. I would watch OU.

#12 Makai Lemon WR Cali: Wants to get to Clemson, I have heard June 5th, this Summer. He is teammates with Nelson, so you have to watch that. Clemson, OU, and USC are separating themselves right now.

#14 Tony Mitchell CB Alabama: I recently learned that Mitchell will be at Clemson on June 4th. #15 Matayo Uiagalelei DE Cali: As I hope you can tell he is DJ's brother and he is another baller. Has a visit to Clemson June 4-5th. I have cautioned y'all that USC is a serious threat as he wants to be a music producer and LA would obviously be better for that than here.

#16 Malik Bryant DE FL: I think that he makes it out to Clemson at a date TBD, watch Bama and UGA also.

#22 Nicholaus Iamaleava QB Cali: Was one of the biggest movers this cycle, as I told y'all he would be, I told y'all top 20 maybe top 10, and he is getting close. He is DJ's second cousin, I am pretty sure, and he will be camping at Clemson June 5th. He has camps with UGA, Bama, and OSU as well as with the local schools USC and UCLA. He may have the biggest upside of any QB.

#29 Treyaun Webb Ath/RB FL: Webb had previously committed to Georgia, but since decided to view all options. He will be at Clemson June 5th. Georgia, Florida, OSU, and Oklahoma will also get visits. He has built a good relationship with CJ. Clemson involved pretty heavily early.

#40 Michael Daugherty S Ga: He will visit Clemson June 3rd, also watch LSU and Georgia.

#42 Xzavier McLeod DT SC: He has been talking to coach Bates every week or every other week, no visits scheduled anywhere yet; however, once visits open Clemson will get one.

#43 Monroe Freeling OT SC: He is not originally from the state so he has no ties here. He will be at Clemson on June 11th and Georgia on June 10th, from what I have been told ND have done well here early; however, I can tell that Clemson can be in this as much as they want from a pretty good source.

#53 Luke Montgomery OL/DT Ohio: He will be at Clemson June 15th OSU, Michigan, Alabama, Auburn, Oklahoma, Penn State, and ND. Obviously OSU is a threat in state, but Clemson has a pretty good shot based on what I have been told.

#54 Drayk Bowen OLB Indiana: He says that he talks to ND and Clemson on a constant basis, but ND has to be considered the favorite being in-state. No visits scheduled as of yet.

#60 Jaxon Howard TE Mn: Will be at Clemson on June 12th. He is visiting a lot of other colleges, and no favorites have emerged. His father played at Stanford.

#63 Samson Okunlola OT Ma: He and his brother, who is in the class of 22', will likely visit in the Summer. Also watch OSU, from what I have been told.

#65 Dylan Lonergan QB Ga: I spoken pretty extensively on him, he will visit Clemson June 2nd, with a large number of other colleges. I have said that Clemson and Bama are in the best positions going into these visits.

#70 Devin Hyatt WR SC: Clemson will get the in-state prospect on June 6th, Alabama, UGA, and U of SC will also get visits in June. He is the teammate of Antonio Williams 22' WR target.

#82 Derick LeBlanc SDE FL: He visited Clemson for the Spring Game, but as of now no visits are scheduled for June to Clemson.

#83 Justice Haynes RB Ga: I have also spoken on Haynes who is a UGA legacy, he will be at Clemson on June 1st, before going to UGA, Bama, OSU, Stanford, ND, and LSU.

#110 Ethan Nation CB Ga: He will be at Clemson June 4th, also UGA, FSU, Florida, and Miami.

#115 Tomarrion Parker DE Alabama: Camping at Clemson on June 5th. Auburn, Georgia, and Texas A&M have offered early.

#154 Avieon Terrell CB Ga: I can report here for the first time that Terrell plans on making it to Clemson on June 1st. Only other confirmed visit is June 5th to FSU. Only guy offered.

#242 Noah Rodgers WR NC: I brought this guy to ya'll's attention a couple of weeks ago, and said that he is an absolute freak after I got to watch some of his NC state championship film. He debuted in the rankings this week, but this a top 100 guy once more film becomes available. He will be at Clemson on June 6th, and I would love Clemson to get in early with this kid.

Thank you - I respect and appreciate the detailed response. Certain items you pointed out I have not seen elsewhere.

It’s still tough since there is so much overlap between your update and what’s recently posted by TI. I feel like if you posted on a Sunday, for example, and brought to light information that had not been reported elsewhere about an existing or new target, that it would corroborate your claims of having your own sources (which could obviously explain the overlap since, in theory, there’s a view most of Clemson’s staff/resources will have).

No need to prove anything to me. I have no dog in the fight. If you truly do have your own sources and are not plagiarizing (or “strongly borrowing”) from any other publication prior to posting this, then you should feel proud because this information is very insightful.

Either way, best of luck!

Tiger Paw

Malachi Nelson

Have we offered him?

How hard are we Recruiting him?

I was under the impression that Arch Manning was the only 2023 QB we have offered and that he was our primary target. Would we accept a commitment from Nelson if Manning is our top target?

Could you please clarify where we are recruiting these two and how one affects the other.

Thanks

Great stuff!

Lost you when you said you think Rivals is worse than any other recruiting sites. That’s laughable. Rivals is far Superior than any other sites when ranking players. 24/7 is a joke

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: TNET: Recruiting update: After June commits, what's next for Clemson's 2022 class?

Jun 30, 2021, 5:13 PM

I think the 24/7 composite is probably the most accurate because it is a composite. Sometimes rivals seems to be radically different than ESPN and 24/7. But then other times ESPN will have a kid ranked radically different than rivals and 24/7. It varies greatly from player to player. Thus, I think the 24/7 composite is really the best indicator of where a kid ranks.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Why do you ask?

Jun 29, 2021, 2:38 PM [ in reply to Re: TNET: Recruiting update: After June commits, what's next for Clemson's 2022 class? ]

Was the "first to report the date" on TI beforehand? Did the use of the term "nuggets" tip you off?

I use to be a member of TI from 2004 - 2012 class and know they hawk IP addresses for those who have been reported as sharing their info on other sites. I left their site due to not having full access as a yearly subscriber, even though I had paid more in monthly installments over the years (they refused to respect that I was there for a year and beyond) and the fact that praying for recruiting news was no longer needed.

We had arrived to a level in recruiting to where I was no longer concerned with how our diamonds in the rough stacked up to the top teams we were chasing. I was confident in what talent we was getting would be coached up more. It became obvious that we did not have to top Bama, UGA, ND, ect in recruiting. I had learned of the Tom Lemming factor - where players received bumps in ranking for committing to certain schools/attending off campus camps. I did not have to pay to know the Clemson coaching staff had us covered. Despite what some pay site was selling.

Yes, definitely worth the wait. Always is.

Almost hate to ask you questions because your time is so valuable. Do have a quick one on recruiting. Was reading the other site and they ran a story on Chase Sweigart. Any chance he could get a pwo? Would love to see the big fella from Chapin get to go to his dream school. Could see him being our OT Hunter.

Truth hurts loser. You'd know it was true if you went to Tiger Illustrated or those other sites.

I feel you but also see how others are trying to put him on blast for taking from other sites and claiming to be something he truly is not. That "first to report" is usually a company line but in this case refutes those who want to discredit him having his own sources/his post being his own original work.

Re: TNET: Recruiting update: After June commits, what's next for Clemson's 2022 class?

Jun 29, 2021, 9:55 AM

Very nice updates that bring two things to mind. First, don't be concerned about rankings or numbers. We all know Dabo tries to fill needs and history shows that works. Second, now that Mack Brown is building something at Carolina, don't discount them. Walk in any store, look at on line sites and you see Carolina Blue on the racks and on kids walking around in that blue. Sure, their national brand comes from basketball but there is nothing better than having that brand relevant. We need for the ACC to be stronger and a stronger Carolina helps the conference.

With the Cambell commit are we looking at Alexander or Shaw, taking whoever is first to commit, or would we take both?

Thanks!!

I would assume both. Shaw is a defensive tackle and Alexander is a defensive end. No tackle committed yet this class.

They play different positions, like the poster said, so the two recruitments are not related as far as numbers.

Thanks to both. Afyer I posted I realized that may have been the case but thought Shaw was mentioned as being able to play both. May have read that about someone else.

Good article although I found the early paragraph that referenced the last section and them the last section it self to be quite confusing. Even after reading it a couple of timesI do not understand.

You’re killing it brother! This is gold to us and I don’t care where it came from because I read a lot and I haven’t seen any of it.

Unless these other guys can do better and are willing to take the time to do what you’re doing for us, duck em.

I really do enjoy seeing this! Keep it up man, the vast majority of us appreciate it, and the rest, like I said, duck em. GO TIGERS

With a kid like ETN I think you can have two divergent schools of thought that are equally influential. On the one hand, like many siblings, he could have a totally different personality than Travis and want to stay home close to mama. Additionally, he may be like Tanner Muse’s brother and wants to blaze his own trail and not follow his brother.

I was a very good athlete and student growing up. Had it not been for a car accident in high school I would’ve played football and ran track at Clemson back in the 80s. I was also an “A” student without really trying. I was also involved in student government and many other extracurricular activities typically reserved for the geeks. I was and have always been a TypeA, red, extrovert. My sister, however, was five years younger and hated sports and hated school. She is very smart, loves to read, but she was very introverted back then and even to this day avoids conflict like Covid! Not only are we boy versus girl, we are as opposite as two people can possibly be despite being raised in the same house by the same parents. She joined the Air Force and has been very successful in her career, but she’s a follower, not a leader. Few things in social science have been studied more than the differences in siblings especially how birth order and your sex and your personality have massive and predictable influence on one’s success in life including relationships and marriage.

So when it comes to siblings, all bets are off!

Therefore, Trevor may love the Clemson family and atmosphere because of how much Travis loved it, which is why Travis came back for his senior year and became a first round draft pick. But on the other hand, he may want be close to home or he may not want to compete with the ghost of Travis and the record books. At Clemson he would always be in the shadow of Travis.

I think both can be equally motivating and hold incredible influence for a lot of very valid reasons!
