I like, and appreciate, Adam Randall. However (that's a scary word), something occurred to me reading this article.
At WR, he sometimes had alligator arms, not stretching out for passes. For planned running plays, you want those alligator arms at RB to take the handoff and hold onto the ball.
Now, if he runs a lot of wheel routes......uh oh (see above)

I think he’ll be the guy. If he can read the blocking, he could be a monster. Big guy with wheels and hands (certainly better than most backs given he’s formerly a wr). This could possibly make him a lot of money. My brain remembers Robert Edwards (db) from UGA but I’m sure there are others.

Agreed. Probably not if, but when.

I really hope Venables isn't in contention to start at safety...

Cade is my man but let's not forget, he wasn't that great against the better teams we played with the exception of Texas. I'm expecting him to have a big year but thought this was worth mentioning. Not very sharp against the coots or Louisville( best two teams on our regular season schedule last year imo.

Randall would seem at running back to be good at 4th and goal from the 1 yard line. certainly keep him as the return man for kickoffs. He could certainly be used as a decoy in the backfield. As far as a every down back this would seem a stretch at best but stranger things have happened,

Well , Randall should darn sure look good coming out of the backfield for a swing pass or whatever.
