TNET: Nolan Turner listens to Dabo Swinney with the game on the line

Nolan Turner listens to Dabo Swinney with the game on the line

Dabo Swinney knows Nolan Turner’s mental makeup more than anyone, so when he told him he would make the game-winning interception, it meant something. (Photo: Joe Camporeale / USATODAY) Full Story »

Puzzling Questions...

Jan 5, 2020, 9:24 AM

Puzzling Questions... Why did the team allow Dobbins who had been used continually throughout the game and should be keyed upon, even after being hurt... the space in their last drive to repeatedly catch the ball and run unimpeded for big yardage on several plays without covering him closer? And secondly, why was so much space given to the players on the outside to catch the ball to extend their drives???

Keeping them in front of us, eating clock, knowing that ....

... knowing that we’d been great in the red zone all game long, but the big chunk plays hurt us.

That’s my guess anyway.

What’s yours?

That was my guess as well. It looked a lot like the defense we played in last year's NCG. Our red zone D is a thing of beauty.

The end-zone is your friend if you are a defender. Fast players in a smaller area can cover more distance making things quite difficult. But obviously, the middle of the line has to be jammed up to take that option away from the offense.

Probably need better defensive coaches /s***

Venables went into prevent defense to keep from giving up a touchdown. It puts the dbs a little further back to keep everything in front of them.

I love that photograph. So much emotion.

Celebration. Redemption. Brotherhood. Dejection (the OSU player).

I wonder if Dabo really told him that or if he was speaking "ministerially."
