Just my opinion, while South Carolina deserved to win ,the only shocking thing was our Head Coach not even giving us a chance by not putting in Cade. Not saying he would have won, but after we went down by one we were going to lose by 1.

Shipley could had and I believe would had won that game if put on his shoulders.. Dabo has to much faith in the wrong players. Go with what’s working if Shipley was struggling and DJ had the hot hand then let him sling it, but he was no Joe Burrow Saturday so give it to the man getting 9 yards a clip and get your All ACC kicker where he can put points on the board for the win

Yes, it's an execution issue! A couple coaches should be

I agree… we aren’t a well coached team any more in a lot of areas. QB, WR, OL, DB’s… in some cases I’d argue some of our players have regressed instead of improved. Our defense lacks intensity , we have the same busted assignments on both offense and defense as we had in September. We don’t make any adjustments at half time much less during the game. There’s way too much inexperience on our coaching staff. An experienced coaching staff like Alabama (possible OB opponent if we win Saturday and that’s a big if) will run us in the ground on both sides of the ball right now. There’s major issues that if not addressed will have us back to a mediocre football team we’ve experienced in the past.

Every argument the coaches have made for whatever the reason all season long has been full of total Bu11shit and talking in circles which is a good sign that they didn't know what they were talking about.

One thing that I do know, is that every game they were patting DJ on the back and saying what a good job that he had done, that was total BS, those games were won bc of our strong running behind Shipley and Mafah, and DJ really didn't have to run the risk of putting the ball in the air all that much, so I guess it is pretty easy to say good things about a player that had two other players getting down field without having to throw the ball too much.

I will agree with Dabo, DJ had some good games, but it was in the games that Shipley, Mafah, and DJ mostly run against teams that just couldn't stop our running game. DJ's best game throwing the ball was in the Wake game, but since then he has looked like the DJ of 2021 most of the season....

When it is a constant theme of the players didn't execute with players of this caliber then it becomes a coaching issue. Either they are trying to overcomplicate things, the communication is not what it should be or something is not being emphasized well enough in practice.

I am going to count how many passes DJ throws completed, over/under and drop passes Saturday night. Will it be DJ losing the game because they never say how many was his fault.

Count one more thing: count the number of open receivers who were not targeted. That will give you an idea of what DJ is missing.

He still needs to go… defense has fallen off

Nov 29, 2022, 7:52 AM

And has lots of talent.

He was a mistake. Own it Dabo.

The D will be younger, but it has talent, and it will be pretty good as the season goes on, but I'm not anywhere close to being sold on Goodwin as our DC!!!

Sorry, but you won't have any luck getting Wes Goodwin to join your Gamecock's coaching staff.

Yes, no kidding when you give up 31 points, the defense played a part in our loss. Our defense has not been what we wish it would be all year except for most of the Miami game. We have some talent on the front but because offensive linemen are so big in today's game, 4 against 5 is a mismatch. We were able to affect the QB against Miami because we blitzed over and over but against South Carolina, we were unable to get pressure and our DBs did not hold up. Drake Maye is by far the best QB we have played this year and Coach G has got to find to find a way to get pressure or we will be in trouble.

Yes, BUT take into consideration that our offense was 3 and punt throughout the entire 2nd half, they had already played the first half, and then they were on the field most of the 2nd half. All of our 3 and punt wore them down!!!

Was goodwin able to make the game. We played 10 men on line of scremage 3 times. Their OC recognized it and completed a 75 yard pass on 4 and one. The second one went for 65 yards. The first one was 4 and 1. Stupid call by DC. Don't blame players. You messed up

Like everyone thought they were going to pass the ball? Everyone thought they were going to try and run it.... probably 99% of coaches would have done the same thing.... problem was Makuba got caught looking in the backfield as he did each time he got burned....

Like I've already said, I'm not even close to being sold on Goodwin being our DC bc, he has absolutely no college experience of on the field coaching college kids!!!

Execution issues !!!!

Nov 29, 2022, 11:54 AM

I am so tired of hearing about our team's EXECUTION ISSUES! All season long that has been the problem/excuse. We should not be having EXECUTION ISSUES in the 12th game of the season. Do we have dumb players or inept coaches? I'd bet big $$$ that we do not have dumb players.

Coaches, please tell us the truth. The fans and football commentators are not dumb. Do not insult our intelligence. Dabo, please fix the problem!!!!

I agree with a lot of you that Wes is in over his head. With regard to the SC Game have we heard from him about the incident between some of the defensive backs that had to be broken up by the coaches and players involved?? Something like this to me is a coaching issue.
On another note I am not going to bash “Big Stinko” but even after his weight loss, I still think he runs like Herman Munster.

Unfortunately I feel we are not that talented in some areas. Definitely QB play has been in question throughout. I dont know IF Cade is ready yet IMO. Can he do worse or better IDK. I know we dont have the talent at the WR position and we are missing a Hunter Renfrow and Amari Rodgers type player. Our D is relatively strong except in the secondary. I would like to see DJ role out a little more .. Maybe get him out of the pocket. The biggest room is always room for improvement. Unfortunately there are just 2 games left.

DJU does not have roll out in his DNA, he never had to do that is HS, he was always bigger than his opponents and didn't have to work as hard!! He could get away with his statue posture and throw the ball. Now he's in the big time and cant make those HS throws. He's only a D3 QB at best. DABO HELLO???????
